My top 5 razors are the Karve Overlander aluminum and the Henson AL13 Mild. Sorry, that's all the razors I own.

I like the Rockwell 6C because you can change the aggressiveness depending upon the amount of whisker growth you have. Six levels of mild to aggressive is great. It's like having six razors in one. What could possibly be better than that?

Great top 5 Modern DEs, my top 5 would be different because I enjoy milder lighter razors, probably something like this: 1: Karve AL Overlander 2: RockWell 6C + Homelike AL Baikal 3: Merkur 34C + Edwin Jagger DE89 4: RazoRock Mamba 70 (I have a DSC Zamac clone, looking to get RR one) 5: Yaqi "Mellon" head SLOC I currently don't have a Henson AL13 nor TRC yet, but I have the TRC on order, which could go into my top 5 based on reviews I've seen. Take Care and keep safe.👍🤠🤟

That’s seven - and the TRC would make it eight :)

I love my Mamba 70 but if you can find the razorock eco I like it a little more.. in fact I haven't found anything that beats it yet

@@superfbomb9054 I have made a number of changes to my collection since this review, I now have a SS Mamba70, Henson AL13 V2, TRC AL and a few other razors, so my top 5 will change for 2023. BTW: I don't include SE razors in the top 5 DE list and I classify the RR Eco as a SE razor, which I don't have yet.🤠

Excellent choice, Sir. Prefering more aggressive razors I could live with this options. Just ordered the Merica Razor as a milder option. My favorite razor is the stainless steel, cnc-machined Greencult from Austria with a blade gap of 0.95mm and a blade exposure of 0.25mm, but very controllable, perfectly balanced and without blade shattering. The price of the Greencult is surprisingly low, too. Did you try the Greencult ?

Ive heard good things about the Greencult, but havent had the opportunity to try it myself.

How much is Rex Amassador? Innumerable it’s £250?!!!! Should be number one for that price.

It seems most DE shavers as they get more experience go for the more aggressive razors. I'm about 2 years into wet shaving and my favorite razor still is my Henson Ti-22 + It's the only razor I trust on my head and still my favorite for day to day shaves. I'm getting use to a new Rex Sentry but it's more aggressive than I thought it was. It's better for when I go 4-6 days without shaving IMHO.

The more I shave, I can't get rid of the iron stubble shadow, even with a 6 plate on my rockwell with a feather blade. Maybe I need a REX razor.

Have you ever tried a RazoRock Hawk V3 open comb SE razor with a Feather Super Professional blade? Thicker 'Artist Club' SE blades seem very efficient and (once accustomed) more comfortable than a Feather DE blade used early in a shave. Still, a Super Professional SE blade could produce a blood bath if you're not careful. I normally progress to more aggressive DE razors with thinner Feather DE blades at the end of a shave to pick off any remaining beard stubble (iKon Tek - with a light touch, as it is pretty harsh). One thing I now notice is that I seem to prefer razors which very securely hold a blade edge, like these two razors.

Here’s my current list: no order (for both Head and Face Shaves) • Saponificio Varesino V2 • Blackland Osprey • West Coast Shaving Liberty • Goodfellas Smile Syntesi 45° • Yates Winning Razor • Yates Merica Razor • Timeless Ti 0.68 & 0. 95 • Blutt 0.99 • Carbon 0.71 (🤷🏼‍♂️) • Rex Konsul Really the list would have to be longer because there are so many good Razors. Yes to the Karve Overlander, yes to the Rockwell 6S, Yes to the Leaf (for Headshaves), YES to the Ambassador, and so many more.

Those are some high end razors. I'm new to safety razors. What is the cheapest razor you recommend?
@The_One_BABA
@The_One_BABA 7 месяцев назад
@@mrtdiverI recommend a vintage Gillette Slim, or Fatboy, or a Gillette Tech. Worth owning no matter what. Modern wise, the Phoenix artisan razors are really great for their price iMo. I love the ascension. It looks aggressive but it’s not imo, it’s mild. It’s an awesome razor for me.

I can VERY confidently recommend the Rockwell 6C (6s is stainless and more expensive, the 6c is chrome plated zinc alloy), I keep the 6c in my Dopp kit for travel. It has 3 plates, and each plate when flipped has a different setting for blade exposure. 1 is super mild, and increase in efficiency up though 6. I personally like plate setting 4. It’s a Fantastic razor. And the 6c is the least expensive and will probably put love the both of us. Should have started here.. but if you can get a vintage Gillette at a fair price, they just don’t make them like that anymore. Check your antique stores and clean it up and sanitize it, and they are just cool (imo) to own.

If your headshaving the best head shaver in my opinion is the Leaf. It’s brainless once you get the hang of it. Just not great for face shaves. Their twig is good for face.

@@The_One_BABA Good to know, cause yes I'm head shaving too. I would like an OC razor and that Phoenix Ascension looks nice. Mark Szorady recommended The META-4 and that's when I learned about PAA razors. I first bought the VIKINGS BLADE Chieftain - but I don't really like it. Also, I think the supplied Vikings' razor blades are mild and should be sharper. I've got blades ordered: Personna & Feather. Now I have coming in the mail: used Rockwell T2 ($80) - I might of purchased the Rockwell 6C if I knew about it earlier RazoRock Game Changer .76-P - Not the .84-P or .68-P and a Etsy custom handle with DE89 head? razor
