There’s 8 BILLION people on this planet, not the end of the world if some people don’t want kids lol. Also, we should adopt more. Too bad it’s super expensive. But why bring MORE kids into this messed up world when there’s already so many out there to take care of that have no parents💙
Have a biology major for a son. He has no interest in bringing children in the world. He and a lot of his college friends feel like we have tipped the scales to far to bring the earth and species back to a healthy state. Plastic production will increase by 40% in the next 10 years. If we don't do anything about the plastic soup, oceans will carry more plastic than fish (by weight) by 2050. Marine life will be irreparably destroyed. Ruin the ocean, ruin the world. 🐠🐡🐟 Africa's population alone will almost double to 2.5 billion by 2050.
Do you think the world is overpopulated? we're actually underpopulated in some areas. We actually need more children in our generation, and it would actually worsen the economic and social woes in a country when their's low birthrate.
@@lawrencepascasio2076 we’re 8 billion Im sure we’ll figure it out. Worst case scenario we have a food shortage crisis and all the junk food companies start focusing on making REAL food for once lol.
@@HeavyInstinctwho says that but you? Choosing not to have kids is your right. I have kids and honestly, it doesn't make me better than those that don't.
Perhaps people who have hope for the future, and want to raise children who will grow to discover and/or create or do something that will make a positive impact on humanity.
@@leocitywrestling7029 yeah. I agree👍. Having kids makes it so much harder to pass away rather than your sisters and brothers who were with you your whole lives and actually care about you and not your money.
Well then, I'm sure JD is in favor of paid family leave then, right? And the enhanced child tax credit. And child care subsidies. And universal pre-k. And increased education funding.
he's actually said he wants to charge women without kids more taxes, even though having children gives you a tax break, it's not enough. he wants to punish you for not having them. never trust a man with unhealed mother wounds.
@@neckarsulmeI certainly didn’t need to be married and I had two but I understand the reason for a woman to want that supposed addition of commitment from her husband as that is what getting married means to me…a man’s willingness to commit…but sadly that is no guarantee of him being a great father or even partner. Many men change once the kid comes…some get better thankfully and some men get worse or even leave.
darnit, i have kids and cats and im still miserable, UPDATE FOR THE LOSERS, WHO DONT UNDERSTAND MY COMMENT, I HAVE EMPTY NEST SYNDROME I HAVE 2 CATS. TO FIll IN THE VOIDS, OF MY MILLIONAIRE kids whom I raised, now their gone I have two cats and im still miserable, Parents understand, gosh alot of Neanderthals on the internet 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
@@matthewm9261 so because of these “feelings” you now hold should you have a bigger stake in americas future, as opposed to someone without kids? I’m just curious to other perspectives, as a politically involved citizen in my 20’s raising a child doesn’t seem wise at all during these times.
Wife and I live a good life, with a lot of freedom, trips, and mobility. Kids were just not in the cards for us; some people just seethe at the notion that others don’t want to breed 🤷♂️
I’m 22… definitely don’t have money to have children, let alone move out of my parents’s home.. I work while being a full time student, and then will go to academy for my future career.. I’m trying to build a life for myself before I have children, cause they’re expensive and I want them to have a good life… so I will be happily child free until I’m at least 30, thank you very much
Fact that Vance goes against women who had no kids is a shameful and cowardly act. He has no honor towards women. Can't call him a man. A man would respect women, not make such blasphemous statements. How he came to be Trump's running mate is beyond me.
This is beyond belief, my daughter did not have kids for 7 years, so they adobted a son. This is enough to drop him, it is the wrong guy without respect or brains.
@@GigaHellblaze I'm a man and I don't mind having fathered children with my wife, I'm a responsible human being, but i definitely don't look down on people who decided not to have children, honestly i couldn't care less, having children is a choice not a requirement
I have seven ferals and zero children. (I love children, am great with children, but my health doesn’t allow me to have children.) The cats bring me so much joy, it overflows into everything I do. I contribute positively to society and my voice is as important as any other American, child, no child, or anything in between. I’m proud to be a childless cat lady.
Same here. I just told my friend, this seems to be the first dent in the fender as he takes the new campaign out for a spin. Unfortunate. But I've seen worse from others.
It’s truly disappointing. As a Trump supporter, I’m very disappointed. This is the last thing that the Republican Party needs if it intends to unify the country. Our country is so divided and this is the last thing that needs is to separate even more. It’s an extremely bad choice of words on behalf of JD Vance…. Not wise at all my friend… not wise.
I make the active choice to not have children because I have way too many health issues that I would rather not pass onto any potential children. It would be cruel and selfish. I also cannot afford children and I don't want to have children in such a bad economy. But hey I guess that means I'm a, "childless cat lady".
It doesn’t bother to call me a “childless cat lady” but what does bother me is setting a very dangerous precedent of shutting voters out of leadership & representative roles. Also, where’s the equivalent dig at “childless cat dudes” like my husband? Messed up.
Cat lady is a reference to classic literature, in this case, to Charles Dickens "Miss Havisham." Unfortunately, none of us read classic literature so we don't get the reference. But we all know how to search the internet, which will enlighten us.
@@kimlangham1077 Now you're trying to gaslight America about Vance's past public statements. Trump does this all the time, telling us not to believe our lying eyes about his intentions.
Yes, he did. He was also called rape an “inconvenience.” And, he wants “normal families” to have priority over those he deems not normal. Show him the door.
My husband and I can't have children because he got cancer while serving in the military, so his service made us both childless. I'm not miserable because of it, I adore my husband and I love my life. There is more to life than having kids, and if that is your thing, perfect! Just respect other people's decisions and circumstances, you never know the reason.
Does JD guarantee that his own children will live longer than him? He may lose them at anytime and become childless. What happened to respect and ethics ?!
Many Americans want kids but can’t afford to provide for them so they choose not to. As a politician, you should be working on solutions to affordability, rather than making disparaging statements about your fellow Americans who love children so much they would rather not have them, if they cannot provide for them.
What about mothers who got robbed of motherhood with their kids due to malice, unlawfulness, abuse of power and control, perjury and more, and has cats for companionship etc.
Then they blocked me from being able to have cats, because they noticex it was helping me, got cats now but they target them and harm them. Know not speaking of this circumstance but just saying that is rude statement, no matter which way you look at it.
First, I am a childless dog lady. Let me tell you she is a expensive girl too. She lives to play a game called "how can i make sure my mom spend some money this week?" And i can't even write her off on my taxes! Secondly, gas is 4 dollars a gallon, and I have to drive to works, so i know i cant afford diapers or bottles. Food, clothes, water, rent, amd everything else is high and you want me to have a child. No thanks. Im gonna stay a single, happy, childless dog mom
@@LinH-n6u Yep, my dog needed 2 TPLO surgeries on his knees. The first surgery was about $5700, and the second surgery was about $6700. And then during rehab I had to nurse my little guy back to health. Also took care of my mom for about 4 months when she was dying but before she went into hospice care. I don’t have children, but I still think I know a thing or two about putting someone else’s needs before my own. I sort of understand what Vance is trying to say, but still his comment was mean, sarcastic and insensitive. I think Trump picked the wrong man for the job of VP!
I have been married for 38 years and was not blessed with children. I think he owes all the women he insulted. I have cats and a dog and my husband is a really big cat lover I am a trump supporter and I do not blame him but this jd Vance needs to apologize right now
Why don't you look up cat lady, it has roots back to Charles Dickens, you might be able to understand JD Vance if you first learned what the term means. No person can stand up to criticism from those who don't care what was intended by the sound bite.
JD needs to go, and comically he’s SO not an asset to Trump. Women do not need to birth a child to have worth, and many who have children aren’t great parents as seen from my many years working in social services/CPS - a selfless career to care for others’ children! This is so unbelievably crazy to watch from a potential VP. Shame on you, Vance!
She chose to raise her step children as her own. It’s a tasteless remark, meant to provoke. Sad that we can’t expect better from a man running to be VP.
Talk about not being able to keep your own harsh words to yourself. Sometimes people like Vance need to keep their mouth glued shut 🤐! Watch what you say! It can really backfire on you!
I'm a cat lady I love my pumpkin even though he's no longer with us I still think of him every day I even have a squish mellow named after him yes call me nuts but yes I am a crazy cat lady
Hey Vance, I was abused as a child and thought it best to not pass on generations and generations of abuse. I have physical scars on my left leg from being whipped with a thorny rose vine switch, but more scars in my head. So no kids. I have loads of other whipping stories from not eating fast enough to not waking up at 5:30am, etc. Try being beaten by a drunk man in a rage. Lets hear your story, Vance. I stopped that generational abuse pattern. No one needs to endure abuse and I wasnt going to risk being a parent and letting emotions or anger rule me or a precious human child.
I am truly sorry. It breaks my heart to know that you had to go through such a difficult experience. Please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and sending you all my positive energy for your healing. ❤❤❤
having children does not make you a better person. he seems to think the two coincide. we all know of /have heard about horrible people who pop out children only to ruin the child's life.
Gee, I never realized I wasn’t a valued member of the human race, society, or as a citizen because I didn’t have kids when I stayed with an abusive husband which Vance also advocates and my husband didn’t want to have any kids…
Vance criticized Andy Beshear over comments that Vance is not a Kentukian hillbilly. Vance went on the attack referring to Andy’s dad. Something like, “ I wasn’t handed the governorship…”. He fails to mention that he had a billionaire ‘mentor’ who got him jobs purely on favors.
He has gone beyond that idiotic comment. Next, he says single people shouldn't have their voices equally weighed and if a couple has children, their vote should be counted to weigh the number of children they have. The parents should be able to vote again for each child they have. Dear God.
My aunt is a cat lady and she's not childless, she married an abusive alcoholic and had my step cousin, then divorced that guy and married my uncle, an abusive alcoholic. And divorced him.
I really wanted to like this guy, he wasn't my choice for Republican VP but I was still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, then he said what he said.
After my body went through the horrors of chemotherapy at age 30, I didn’t want to put my body through the stress and risks associated with pregnancy. I hope to one day adopt a child who needs a home 🌸
@@TheLucidSpecter excuse me! How dare you!! One that was married lost her husband almost a year ago. One isn’t married but has a man friend and my youngest has two daughters. There is nothing wrong with being without child! NOTHING!!!
I’m married with kids and I’m still a cat lady 🤷🏻♀️ My husband is a cat dad. I’m tired of people using that as an insult. Giving a good home to a cat or multiple cats is a wonderful thing and I wish more people would do it! Very bozo and disappointing comment by Vance.
Well I’m a Trump person but I don’t like this man! Not everyone has the “perfect family “. My choice to have only one kid instead of more was my choice not this arrobutts!
It was 3 years ago. Where was the outrage then? I know, now he's the VP you need to grasp everything that will sway public opinion regardless of how irrelevant it is.
I’d love to have kids one day but the biggest reason why I’m choosing not to for is finances. I earn a pretty decent salary and live comfortably but I know raising a child is costly, not just in terms in money but also of time. I would have to make sacrifices like not being able to have as much freedom or enjoy the hobbies that I do. I would want to be present in my child’s life as much as possible and it would be difficult with having to maintain a balance between working and parenting. I’d also want to have the right partner who also wants children as there’s no way I could be a single parent in my current situation. I know my story isn’t the only one and others will agree with me.
