It was a bad choice because Trump is the oldest ever nominee and may well have to pass the presidency over. Vance is unusually inexperienced even for a senator, let alone a president and he makes mistakes because he doesn't know the policy areas. Personally I don't think debates should be optional. They should be mandatory and done BEFORE any votes are cast. Just think how many voters regretted casting their vote for Fetterman after that disastrous debate against Oz in 2022. He was an utter train wreck. The way to win votes is to go where people have opposing viewpoints and try and persuade them to her point of view.

Vance is a great speaker, I can’t wait for his debate. Walz will look insane, screaming and yelling “mind your own damn business”. Vance is always cool and collected. Walz will drag Kamala down, or at least not help her at all.
