Somebody calling in a bomb threat because they hate the immigrants or calling in a bomb threat to clear out all the government buildings to further hide the full extent of what’s going on from the many news outlets the have traveled there? The city council meeting is every Tuesday and the issues with immigrants have been the #1 issue for months before the debate. Y’all hate Trump so much that even if he’s right you dismiss it. @@nickadt I live 30 mins away and can say the only working opportunities in Springfield is through temp services and not all of the Haitians are “good workers” a lot of them aren’t even working at all. Why would you work when you are given housing vouchers, section 8, welfare, daycare vouchers, food stamps, Wicc, etc. please before you dismiss this, (which is happening across the country as well) do real research don’t just rely on the mainstream media.

As a Chicano (American born non Spanish speaking Latino) we always felt that we were never white enough for the gringos and never Mexican enough for the Mexicans. A lot of folks build that same resentment for Mexican immigrants. However, I've learned that if you treat each person based on the content of their character and not blanket the whole community as "the other" you can possibly learn from someone you may not have otherwise interacted with. @@TheCompanyMan ok even if that is true there are MANY other FIRSTHAND accounts of the immigrants trying to steal pets (not just cats), farm animals, and wildlife to cook and eat or use for their voodoo rituals. They are leaving the carcasses at the reservoir in the open where children can just walk up on them also. The gaslighting from people who don’t live here and really don’t understand what’s happening is disheartening. The biggest issues is the strain on housing, driving safety and economy that this influx of immigrants have brought. The immigrants don’t speak English and there isn’t enough interpreters to help them, but they are allowed to get drivers license. If you don’t know the driving laws and can’t learn them ofcourse you’re not going to follow them. The immigrants are getting large vouchers for housing which is pushing the renting costs up and predatory landlords are taking advantage of that in many ways. The school system is broken. The immigrants student body has tripled and there aren’t enough resources to help them in classrooms. There are immigrants who are beyond 20 years old in classes with students that are 14. I’m sure Trump and Vance has used this as a political tool but it’s not just political. The citizens are paying real consequences to have these immigrants here and for you , (someone who says they are a fair journalist) to not seriously present a fair and balanced report is disappointing. Really do your research and you’ll find this goes beyond “eating pets” but is a reflection of the failures of this current administration to do ANYTHING about the illegal immigration. Btw the same thing is happening in other places like Alabama where immigrants are eating cats and wildlife.
