I’m a restaurant general manager. During election season I will have Guest come right out and ask me if I’m a Republican or a Democrat. My response is always the same. “ Yes, I am” didn’t they ask me no which one are you a republican or democrat? I say yes I am. Then we test me a third time I say look folks I am not here to talk about politics. But I am here to talk about how good the service in the food was and if you wanna talk about anything else that’s great except for politics and religion. I said if I tell you, I am a democrat and I’m the general manager I automatically lose 50% of my business. If I tell you, I’m a republican I will lose 50% of my business so either way I’m losing 50% of my business. But by not answering it I’m keeping 100% of my business because I’m here to make money not play politics. It sounds like that this restaurant didn’t know that he was coming. The advanced team should’ve notified the restaurant owner and cleared it with the owner. The manager on duty is probably told like I am there is no news media or cameras allowed inside the building or on the premises no matter what and you better ensure that that happens. I’ve worked for five restaurants in 37 years and that’s always been their policy. The only time cameras are allowed in the restaurant or on the property is in presence of an “officer of the company “ only. That is either the CEO, COO, and order legal council. I will say this about Senator JD Vance. He handled that situation perfectly. I’m surprised but happy that he did.

They also shouldn't assume that a PRIVATE BUSINESS wants its name associated with a particular candidate. Considering what Vance represents -- the worst misogyny in recent history -- he certainly shouldn't assume a business would want to be associated with him.
