[Tokyo Japan, Fall 2023]
A few clips gathered from our Tokyo adventures. Fall season greeted us with perfect weather and just about every angle of the city was picture-perfect. Visited some of our bucket-list places, such as Pink Dragon to browse some Cream Soda merch and the new Liberty Walk store in Harajuku.
Our good friend Akimitsu traveled from Tsuruoka, Yamagata to meet us in the city. It was a day well-spent, cruising the streets and highways in a EK9 Civic Type-R. We made a quick stop at SPOON TYPE-ONE and then hopped on the famous Wangan Shuto-Expressway south towards Yokohama. Out in Honmoku enjoyed some eats at the MOON Cafe at MOONEYES. Felt good to eat a burger after weeks of eating mostly Japanese food and onigiri lol.
We swapped out our EK9 rental at Omoshiro Rental Car Noda, Chiba for a Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R. It was a nice change up, from a raw B-Series VTEC screamer to the smooth turbo power of the SR20. Of course, it was mandatory that we made numerous trips up and down the Bayshore Route to the world-famous Daikoku PA to check out the local car scene. Rows of JDM and Euro rides turned up here on the daily, sometimes just to cruise through before blasting off into the night.
Tokyo has an interesting way of combining urban sprawl with cutting-edge efficiency, all while leaving little pockets of zen stillness in between. For being the largest city in the world, I really did feel like I had a space for just myself. Something about autumn in this city, there is a magic to it. I suppose we’ll just say, everything just falls into place🗼⛩️🍂🍁
