A bit of a different film, but super cool to unbox the Caldia SW. I always wanted a Japanese Reel and can't wait to try it out this summer! Hope you enjoyed the vid and leave a like it helps with the algorithm a lot. YEW!

no idea why australia didnt get this model or *colour* as its a re-coloured saltist mq, this caldia looks far better imo and cant wait to get one myself, the blue saltist looks like a toy. Looks great, enjoy the reel!

Bought a 5k, and 2500 for fishing in the states, love both of mine. Great reels and a lot cheaper than the saltist mq👌

Had a caldia sw 10k for a few months, put in the yards during summer and it held up fine. Only issue was that when I hooked up to a massive shark/tuna that took a livie I felt the rotor flex alot. Btw, the body is still full metal like the saltist, only the rotor is regular graphite instead of Zaion. Sold it to get a certate sw 10k.

@@lachieslogbook The rotor won't snap mate, it can handle big fish just won't be sturdy like a metal saltiga rotor or twinpower rotor.

Do you know, if the bodysize is the same. From the 8k,10k and 14k reel and just a bigger spoul. Or is the boddy bigger aswell. I am thinking about a 10k reel for spinning/popping for tuna etc. Grettings from Germany

Without the parts list for both I can't tell you for certain. But recently (~post-2020) most new Daiwa reels have had size specific bodies and Rotors. So I'd say that's there's a high chance that you cant change spool size any more.

The plan was to use it as my replacement for my rapala aggressor A5000 Mainly to throw for pelagics and I guess live bait for kings

Интересно, как у Caldia SW дела обстоят с подшипниками... 🤔 В последние три года Daiwa ставит в катушки очень много дешевых бракованных подшипников..

Daiwa have been using an alloy material for their gearing for a while. It's a tight secret I think so can't tell you for certain.

@@lachieslogbook Thanks, I have seen RU-vidr Tackle Advisors taking the Bg Mq apart and commenting on the zinc gears. If the Caldia Sw has aluminium gears then that is an awesome reel. Keep up the good work. 👍

Нет, друг, разницы нет в Австралии мы или в Канаде, в Норвегии или в Бразилии.. Спиннинг нужно держать сильной рукой 💪
