Sho Kosugi...the best Ninja back in the 80's. I loved Revenge of The Ninja back in the day. Sho and his son Kane were amazing. Was great to see Sho coming back as a great and brutal Ninja master in Ninja Assassin. I wish he and his son Kane were doing more Ninja movies.

Jean Claude's body proportions and style of movement really made him stand out. Not an overly big or tall guy so he moves with speed and fluidity, along with the kicks and flexibility with his longer legs and muscular physique, he really seemed larger than life on screen. He was like a living video game character.

One of my favorite Jean-Claude Van Damme scenes, he did really fantastic fight scenes in the early years especially imo. Sho Kosugi was great I used to watch his ninja movies as a boy in the 80's. JCVD with Bruce Lee we're my role models and they gave me a passion for martial arts when I was young.

Great 80's martial arts action movie. 'Cyborg' will always be my favourite Van Damme movie though. He was great in 'No Retreat No Surrender' too.

I was watching Sho Kosugi from the 1981 in "Enter The Ninja", then "Nine Deaths of a Ninja" in 1985, before Jean Claude Van Damme, ever started doing movies, so i got real excited about this movie , cause i knew that they were bringing the old and the new together for a great martial arts battle. Black Eagle was a pretty cool movie, wasn't as good as i was hoping for when the movie came out in the 1988, but by then I knew Van Damme, cause he did No Retreat No surrender in 85' and he also did Bloodsport in 88'.

Era visto na época como um ator classe C, e sem potencial para ser um ator classe A. Mais deu sorte com o mega sucesso bloodspot que lhe deu fama repentina e lhe proporcionou grandes produções nós anos 90 como Ard target, soldado universal, Time Cop e stret figtht. Além de outros filmes de menor orçamento como duplo impacto e death warrant. Enfim esse ator apesar de ser bastante famoso por aqui no Brasil sua carreira é cheia de altos e baixos, prova disso é que sua maior bilheteria é de time Cop o guardião do tempo com uma arrecadação de 101 milhões de dólares. Se comparado a Stallone e Schwarzenegger ele perde feio em termos de bilheteria.

I saw this movie a couple of times many years ago. It was pretty dreary for the most part, and it seemed like a big step-down for VanDamme at that time as he had just starred in "BloodSport" prior to doing this cheapie,but those 2 fight scenes were undoubtably memorable. It just never ceases to amaze me though that This film was made right after Bloodsport. Yeah,VanDamme's cheapie "Cyborg" flick came out right after this,and then the highly redeeming blockbuster flick "Kickboxer". And as for Sho,yeah i was actually quite a fan of his back in the day as well,and this was a step-down for him as well no doubt,but just not as dramatic of a step-down,as he was never really blockbuster material,but he was definately an Icon in the spectrum of Ninja-Flicks of the 1980's,and obviously a highly revered Ninjitsu master as well.
