Esto es lo que necesitan ver nuestros hijos y nietos, para que puedan ver todo lo maravilloso que es el ser humano. Esta hazaña demuestra que en nuestras manos esta el deseo y el poder de hacer un mundo lleno de paz.
Ah! But , did you ever come across this old gem? This version was first heard, by me, on the old TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON. "A horse show is just a bunch of horses...showing off their asses...to a bunch of horses' asses who are only there to buy horses...showing off their asses."
I am no expert and correct me if anyone knows the contrary but by my judgment of how the horses are behaving while in his presence, it really seems like he doesn't use abuse to train them and pure trust and love. this is the kind of animal show i would support
He´s the real deal! I saw him years ago, at the Equitana, walking towards the show ring. His mares were following him though the chaos, no halter on any of them!
Ok some people need to realize something...tapping them with the CROP doesnt hurt them ok it keeps their attention and keeps the doing the act. I've ridden for 6 years and we always use the crop and never once did they shy away from them or show any pain when we tapped them.
Alyssa Vandegrift I agree I've ridden since I was 2 and I'm now 11 and I use a crop but I just tap my horse we don't hit them with all of our might or force, just a little tap on the bum and then they'll work better for you instead of misbehaving
Tapping is mildly aversive which means they don't like it which means it's a useful tool in limited scenarios. One good use for tapping is to re-habituate a horse that's gone dull to leg aids. It's very easy to gently tap and wiggle a dressage whip behind the leg to encourage more alacrity in good forward response without hurting the horse in anyway.
Gerçek bir eğitmen.. herşeyin zaptiraptla mukemmel olmasina ugrasmak degil, hicbir zorlama (kantarma, ceza, öfke) olmaksizin ortaya cikan bu gosteri gercek bir mukemmellik
I really mean no hate towards the people that do these shows,I'm just wondering do they hit the horses if the horses don't like listen, again no hate meant towards anyone
Agathe and Beauty It's not to hit them, if you notice he taps them with it or makes certain motions using them and that acts as a command to do a certain trick. From what I understand horses and verbal cues are iffy, so using specific touch works much more often.
Agathe and Beauty IT IS NOT A WHIP, IT IS CALLED A CROP AND HE DOES NOT HIT THEM WITH IT. IT IS ONLY TO TAP THEM LIGHTLY AND SIGNAL WHERE THEY NEED TO GO. IT IS NOT ABUSE TO HORSE. Sorry that caps lock was on I wasn't angry
None. That is the miracle of liberty training which is based on trust and you don't get trust by beating something. The crop is used with a light tap to signal cues to the horse.
These horses are as relaxed as a horse can get. If the horses didn't enjoy this do you really think they would be listening to him? The horses clearly love what they do
Caroline Lightningdotter wtf u have no experience with horses if the weren't happy then they would be crying and their ears would be payed back and not perked up
What a lovely liberty act. I worked under Gunther Gable-Williams in the late 1990's for a short time. I learned a lot, but always wished we would have been able to put together acts more like this. Bravo
Dunno if you guys gives a damn but if you are bored like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf these days =)
Liberty training a horse is not necessarily difficult but it requires a HUGE amount of dedication and time ... horses naturally want companionship and play ... it's as natural as a child wanting to jump in puddles or swing on ropes, you are simply playing to a horses natural desire to belong to and follow a herd (the herd being you), to cavort and play, even dance with you and that takes time.... it's not a once a week training exercise -- it's an every day several times a day meeting of the minds and hearts of the two of you. Anyone willing to devote the time to liberty training can train their horse but you MUST be totally dedicated not just to the training but to the horse himself. You are creating a bond where the horse with no tack, no restraints, in a completely free and open environment WANTS to follow you, WANTS to be near you, wants to please, obey and PLAY with you ... but also to respect the my space / your space boundary you want imposed on the horse. The result is a deeply personal relationship with an animal that can crush you if he chooses, that can kill you a kick or a toss but instead CHOOSES to be near you and follow your lead. You create a relationship of mutual respect and a relationship that is the foundation of all other training you might choose to do with your horse ... how can you get a horse to do as you ask while riding if he doesn't even want to be with you? if he chooses to walk away from you when free instead of following you? and that demands that he trust you and for that he needs to know WITHOUT ANY DOUBTS that you also trust him.... Just like you and your dog form a pack, you and your horse form a herd of two and liberty training is the foundation upon which you build your relationship with your horse.
Well said Deb. Wonderfully articulated, honest and informative. I spend every watching minute saying "How?" to myself. Thanks for helping answer a few of those 'Hows.'
I literally CANNOT watch a single horse video and scroll through the comments without someone saying "A B U S E". Like just chill, it's not always abuse. Just because you claim it to be abuse, doesn't mean it always is.
