Freestyle Skiing (Moguls) today is a lot faster, than what Jean-Luc's used to be, but it lacks style. Jean-Luc's runs were both graceful and powerful. Today it looks like that the guy is running for his life.
I didn't see any comments on here about the fact that he isn't wearing a helmet. Times have definitely changed over the past 25+ years regarding safety lol
Listen bunch of know-it alls: this was in 1994. Every sport evolves with time, everything is much faster now so stop with the “he wouldn’t win a medal now”. Just praise what he did because at that rime he was the best.
Le plus drôle, c'est de voir qu'il n'avait pas de casque... personne n'oserait se lancer tête nue aujourd'hui!!! In 1994, without a helmet... no one would do something like this in 2014 without his helmet!!
He would a) need to be much faster and b) need to integrate a D-spin or D-spin variant in his run because even with that level of amplitude, he wouldn't get the air or time scores to contend for a medal
@@bigrivtodagled8210 he did but a run like that might not even qualify for the finals today because of how much faster the moguls skiers are now plus throwing bigger tricks
@@RCVictoryLane look at the size of these moguls in 94 compared to the baby moguls they call moguls now. The reason they go faster now I because the courses are basic compared to the way it used it be.
