Barricades by harpsichordist Jean Rondeau and lutenist Thomas Dunford explores music from the court at Versailles during the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV. Discover: w.lnk.to/brcsLY
"Our playing goes far beyond dialogue," says Jean. "For us, it is not about responding to each other so much as it is about questioning and inviting our listeners to join us in this exploration with no answer or resolution." Also featured on the album are mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre, baritone Marc Mauillon, and Myriam Rignol on viola da gamba.

It's a simple - when I see something from Jean, I just press "Like" button, relaxing in chair and preparing my mind to fly over for a next couple of mins. Awesome. As usual. Awww, thats sign of silence after music ends. Common, you cant be that extraordinary perfect.

@@dapje2002 i agree, i am not a musician but i have been listening to chopin, bach and couperin, and french harpsichord in a solo capacity for 15 years because it sounds so much more melancholy than with an ensemble or orchestra. so i am completely bias but i'm completely happy to have encountered rondeau. he brought me to forqueray with la portugaise!
