SHE DIDNT Acknowledge CHARLENE FROM DESIGNING WOMEN. My hands are literary shaking as i type this. IS SHE ASHAMED OF A ROLE THAT MADE HER CAREER???? im so upset i dont think i could ever watch her in anything new again.
Obsessed with Jean Smart she’s gotten beyond amazing. Am super happy she’s been blessed with many more challenging brilliant roles. Her artistry is world class
SUCH a class act. Absolutely stellar, beginning with "Designing Women" (and I'm sure, even earlier). She deserves all the wonderful things that have come her way.
I’m so happy for this new renaissance in her career…being cast in several great roles in the last couple of years. She’s just remarkable in “Hacks”. I knew after watching the first couple of episodes she’d be taking home an Emmy.

@@againstthepods4316 So? Because you didn’t hear her praise the show or the creators here doesn’t mean she hasn’t in the past. And honestly, it’s not like the Charlene character was the zenith of her career…most everything she’s done since is far more interesting and challenging.
@@johnboy32064 EXCUSE ME? Charlene is a hilarious character with the biggest heart And MANY people love her because of that character. Jean should be more grateful about it and that’s the end of it.
I watched her for the first time in 24 and I was more than pleased by her performance. I'm really excited to watch her in Hacks and Mare of Easttown. Such a great actress. And I'm a big fan of Maryl Streep too ☺️.
The major HOLE here that would put the lie to the whole "tough broad" thesis is the complete omission of Charlene from "Designing Women"! Her breakout role! She played authentic warmth, softness, vulnerability, compassion, open affection and friendship FOR YEARS. This could have been at least in part an examination of Jean Smart's incredible range if not for that.
Okay... I Completely Adore Jean Smart... but Meryl Streep is the Meryl Streep of Strong Women. ;) I will totally watch anything with Jean Smart in it though, she's amazing.

No... I believe the airfare is about $1200 round-trip coach. Then you have to add on the cost of meals, lodging, transportation, side trips and souvenirs. So no, Tibet is far from free. And BTW: WTF does this have to do with Jean Smart?
