I do, as well. The newer acts are too flashy, with obnoxious music. The older magicians have a sense of calmness about them that induces in me a hypnotic effect. I just get agitated when I watch newer illusionists.
He may be rolling in his grave if he gets to see what a load of crap his successors have made the art into.. Tv magic hs been ruined by the likes of david blaine, criss angel and dynamo... Sigh!
saberonix And Fred Kaps copied his routines from Cardini and others. I much prefer Jean Valton's delivery to Fred Kaps', even with its imperfections. Just as with every other art form, nothing is original. Nearly all magic performances consist mostly of a mix of routines gleaned from the repertoires of other illusionists (hopefully with an added personal twist).
