I totally agreed that Jed should won, but that doesn't mean you should hate on a guy who dedicated his whole life on practising powermoves... A criminal have better reputation than Cico nowdays -_-
Haha, Cico busts out some kinda circus pose after he flips in the start of his second set. Kinda strange to see that. He sure has some sick power, there's no denying that. Although, I think that if you're not gonna attempt some tops and ground work into your sets, you shouldn't move forward. UNLESS your opponent stinks it up, which Jed obviously didn't. Thanks for coming out Cico and wowing the crowd. Have Jed face Roxrite for a more interesting match.
Jed wins this easily. You know what makes this even worse? Jed is from South Africa where Red Bull BC One 2007 took place. He gets robbed right away in the 1st round in his home Country
Style is very important, it expresses who you are and how you wanna bboy, there's not a right or wrong way to a style, its you own style, and thats what jed did was express himself, cico did nothing but power moves, and there are right and wrong ways to do it, i am a power head myself, and i think style is boring, i dont do a simple top rock, but style is important! like i said it expresses who you are, but nowa days majority of bboys like style and i guess the judges dont have knowledge in bboy
Jed should've won this battle..his moves are much better than his opponent.. I like Cico's powermove especially in the starting but he only got that nothing else..:P P.S it was too crazy to do the flare with one hand..^^
jed crashed and cico crashed but the only thing is jed had good freezes cico 000000 freezes and omar said 2 win red bull u hvae to have footwork,toprock, power moves and freezes
@Smokeystyle now i know how old this post is.but i have to get you on that.you were right about jed.but for lilou.he was to repetitive for me.and hong 10 showed nothing new.ronnie lost 3 times to get it right and he came back stronger every time.every set we saw from ronnie and roxrite were completely new and dope.thank god you weren't a judge.or else this probably would've been the worst year.and the judges are professionals themselves.they see stuff we don't.so ease up.no hard feelings.
Cico had more charisma. Jed crashes at 1:18. Cico crashed at 1:40. Jed also did a lot of tricks with very little flow. He did Trick Trick Trick rather than trick transition trick Although Cico is pure power with little or no toprock he transition from move to move very cleanly in his floorwork. This just wasn't that great of a battle for Jed. He's better now and transitions better.
Im digging Jed's style, its unique and has swagger. I dont think Cico should have won this, no hating, Cico's power combos are off the fucking difficulty scale, but style is not easy at all, in style it's easy if you want to look like everyone else. It becomes hard when you make it all new and personalized. Jed had great freeze and footwork transitions as well as special takes on his own flares and mills. I guess cico won because his sets were refined and experienced. (loved the tombstones lol)
im getting fucking sick of powermoves, i can do em' everyone can do em, they have taking the real style of breakdance away, it all started out by showing the other person you were better than them, it was a fight without actually fightin, and cico wins this bullshit over and over agin,no dissrespect to powermoving, i mean its a great art! but people go through breakdance nowadays hoping for the glory of athleticism, and it really takes away the flare and individuality of breakdance,
Cico was much more aggressive and every move he did was articulated. Jed did better tricks but when he wasn't doing moves his dancing was weak and only consisted od repeated footwork (. His transitions were terrible. The second set Jed had was great as a whole, but Cico danced his powermoves not just did them. Hitting the beats in the last song was necessary because the music consisted of drum slamming but the other songs were focused elsewhere besides rhythm.
Which is precisely my point. True competitions like Rock the Floor, UKBBOY, BOTY, etc. are genuine to the hip hop philosophy. It doesn't belittle it. RB makes mad profit off of BCONE and you said it yourself, RB tries to get alot of good bboys to show up to put up a good show. I don't know if competitions are staged but from what I hear, it's like this. Look at BCOne's lineup this year, Cico's in it again! Not that I'm hating but just saying, it further goes to prove the point.
overall I would say Jed is better, especially know- he is doing some beast moves. i asked a more experienced bboy here, in SA, and asked how jed lost. I was told that Cico although he may have repeated and only did power was clean and had good form. Jed was dirty and lacked in fire... and thus cico won it.
@Smokeystyle cico was better because his powermoves were clean...jed crashed many times which is a turn off..jed's moves were sick if he perfected it...he could have shown many sick moves in further rounds..he should join RBC one again so he can correct his moves just like what lil g did..

cico passion for break dance..? he is just a power head a very good one anyone can practice the living hell out of a power move but to be a real bboy you need to have style something unique. PASSION is when you have heart for break dancing is called style.
wtf, i didnt criticize anything bout cico, cico is apparently one of my favorite power heads, and no shiet i wudnt be able to do what he do, and sure some power heads may just have power as their style, but u also kno thats not originality
Much respect goes to cico.But on this battle,i thought Jed should have won.He was better.I know there will be people hating me for saying this but seriously you just can't go far in competitions like this base on powermoves alone.
@potpolima heh, that's my opinion, man) I think Hong 10 did the same moves 2 first sets, but in the 3rd he had killer bridges - that's why he won, not killing the beat. But I think Spee-D was better...

Cico was too repetitive and his rounds were too short, no matter how much i love Cico and no matter how GREAT his powermoves are, Jed won this in my opinion. He had everything going.

I don't think it matters that Jed was a lot more sloppy, he showed way more style and originality than cico and he should have won. Jed should have won

Did anybody see Jed's crazy threads and his sets are very interesting and ORIGINAL...his moves are definitely all his style Cico is just using the same things he has been for years and years nothing new...
it maybe that bc one is just for selling and bboys just go for money not for trying to be the best of the world.. but is still the only competition that have the best bboys of the world in one place battling between them..
