Luke's lightsaber in RotJ didn't cut through the railing until the moment he cut off Vader's arm. But I do think that Finn not dying and Kylo not losing his leg and half of his head in TFA were ridiculous moves.

Here's the catch to dismemberment in that game. It was only ever turned on for enemies in body armor. If I remember correctly, the non armored enemies, aberrant clones and the like, would just have scorch marks. Decapitation only happened when you couldn't see their faces.

Isak Isak the age rating is not what would be stopping dismemberment, what would be stopping it is Disney and maaaaaaybe it was generally the developers decision but I doubt that.

Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast had dismemberment. That is why the old games are the best.

Cuz Disney needs more money from kids. They’re a child based brand and therefore their content will naturally lean towards child friendly, regardless of how that effects integrity of the newly acquired IP. In fact, I’d go as far as to say they purposely fuck it up so they can ‘fix’ something that they broke and claim that it’s because of how good they are. It should never work hopefully, but I guess we’ll see what happens in the future...

This IS Disney we're talking about, they're already trying to make people forget the past. Specifically the story group and their hate-boner for Legends, Luke Skywalker and pretty much everything pre-ST. I mean, I can't count the amount of articles and videos saying that Legends was too silly and that Disney Canon is better despite the fact that alot of Legends sillier stories were non-canon and, in Disney, everything is canon from comics to shows to games to children's books no matter how ridiculous. For instance: Disney has Clone Hutt Soldiers, time travel (the old EU had it in one book where it was an isolated incident that couldn't be replicated; the new canon has it in Rebels where it's a major plot point used to bring back Ahsoka and it was something Palpatine was personally invested in) and a talking mountain (which was in the old EU but wasn't canon like most of the Marvel comics with some exceptions and all the strips). All this was after more or less 5 years; the old EU had been going for about 30 and not only was more consistent but had less canon stupid stuff. But I have to bring up Skippy because they loooooove to bring up Skippy, a silly little side story that was non-canon and very few people knew about but has since become the symbol for why EU bad and Disney good. Sorry for the long rant. P. S. They also think that the gameplay of TFU and TFU2 were canon despite the fact that it was done to make the game more fun and the actual canon version was in the book adaptations.

And Star wars the clone wars. Seriously go back and rewatch it. It was much more brutal than people remember.

Also some of the damage effects doesn't make any sense. We see Kal force pull and then stabs the Storm Trooper in the chest but it doesn't leave a burning hole. Instead the damage is on the side of the torso. WTF is that shit?

But like 90% of star wars games don't have dismemberment lol. Stop whining just becuse its Disney. This game still looks good regardless.

TFU really doesn't work as part of canon though. The fact that Starkiller is the reason why the Rebellion exists just makes the story seem like somebody's insert-OC fan-fiction.

The costume and lightsaber customization was the best! These need to be in more single player Star Wars games.

@Gmail com just make the enemy's smart keeping distance or blocking consistently I played Jedi outcast with 1 hit dismemberment and it was very fun because only the blaster enemy's were cakewalks but snipers and other saber users were more prolonged battles its great and how it is in the films

@@Theosake Remember the clones aged a lot faster, and they're a lot more expensive, you're essentially creating a soldier and building him from the ground up, from the second he exists he is taking up credits, using clones of one of the best bounty hunters the galaxy had, who are trained from birth to be warriors is a lot less cost effective then molding an already existing person into a soldier aka recruiting to fight local insurgents and pirates while providing essentially militarized law enforcement Also it would make sense for the purge troopers, the last batch did get slaughtered on Mon Cala

The uprising doesn't make more sense story wise, the galaxy wasn't a war and its canon that the clone production during the war was bankrupting the Republic due to how expensive it was, and you're saying the Empire while at peace would've continued the expensive process?
