this game brings back so much nostalgia..late 90s gaming was a really exciting time..

This was my favourite game back in the good old days

So large maps and no loading screens or delays, that was the main feature of this engine...

One of my first games. Its amazing.

Oh boy does this bring back memories. One of the first online pvp games I ever played, RIP Gamespy Arcade. Those Lightsaber duels.

Seeing the icon for Croc in the background is one of the most nostalgic things I've seen. I never owned it, but my next door neighbour had it on her PC with the exact same icon. I must have been six or seven, and I remember spending so much time going over to play Croc. I remember the image on the CD-Rom as well. Funny that, after not seeing her for 20 years (we moved and never came bac to visit, sadly) the memories of playing Croc together are so incredibly vivid.

Still the greatest of all Star Wars games ever made on any platform.

Came for Jedi Knight, stayed for feijoada and left for Shadows of the Empire. 😁

I wish this game and Mysteries of the Sith get remastered for modern PCs, Or get a fan community made unity source engine port, something like the Daggerfall's unity port got.

About of which game era looks better when going HD... I think some PC games from 2003-2004 look amazing when going 4K. Games which used pumped up textures like HL2, Painkiller or Max Payne 2

I loved this back in the day, just not when playing my friend who had a Pentium 2 with Voodoo 2 SLI, whilst I had a Pentium Laptop with software rendering. Hmmm

Suggestion - please use a darker border for the game stream video and also the video chat, with a dark browser theme and darker themed game it is pretty annoying. Anyway thank you for streaming those games, they are awesome! Hard to think that Jedi Knight 2 was released over 15 years ago :(

I'd love a Nintendo Switch remaster port of this like Duke Nukem 3d, Doom 64, Doom 1 and 2. Loved this game back in the day. Kid in my neighborhood had this on pc when it came out.

This one really takes me back, I had a p2-233 and an ATI rage pro 4mb AGP, and this game ran fantastically using direct3d hardware acceleration, actually rivalling 3dfx minigl driver for the Voodoo 1. Good times.

The early 2000s were the best time for PC gaming

I remember playing this on an IBM Aptiva with a Pentium 100 and a Diamond Monster 3d Voodoo 1 card.

I really liked this game back in the days and it had vertigo inducing levels sometimes with a real sense of scale to them. (Edit: at 6:49 in the video they actually bring that up because it was quite special for its time.) OK so. They've been remastering a bunch of SW titles lately but this is truly the one I want. ..and KOTOR!

This game is massively underrated. It doesn't get mentioned in top 10 best lists or even top 10 underrated games. I feel like people forgot about it.

I think the SB Live needs EMM386 for DOS support. Some games don't like EMM386. The Aureal Vortex cards are PCI, don't require EMM386 for DOS and work with GM devices.

OMG the nostalgia when I saw the menu. I played the multiplayer to death for that game. The multiplayer was using a service called Microsoft Gaming Zone. One of the MP maps was called Empire Night Club, which was awesome and had Prodigy playing in the bar area. So good.

I didn't really understand what's going on at LucasArts. I played this game when I was younger and played Rogue Squadron. Both games looked really nice for their time and I played them both A LOT! Then came SW Episode 1 The Phangom Menace and I remember it felt like a huge step back after Dark Forces 2 and Rogue Squadron, I was a little disappointed even. By the way, you collect those cylindrical canisters, those are basically portable medikits, you need to select them manually from your inventory and use them to heal, they are called bakta tanks. Edit: I see later you figured it out. The amazing thing about this game is that when you die it doesn't take minutes or seconds of your time, a quickload or a level restart just a second. The level geometry and texture data is already loaded, they need to reset some collectables, values and defeated monsters and you are good to go. More game should do this. There was a mip change at 48:50 before you switched to software renderer. Maybe it's applied to the whole object once you are a certain distance from it?

Not enough Voodoo 2 talk for this kind of announcement :(. Too much Brazil talk too.

Fire, fire, fire..

I played through the game a few years ago, the falling space ship level was awesome. Also the level in the demo was really good, I rememer playing that with my parents 120MHz Pentium (at sub 10 fps).

The scope and size on Alot of these levels are amazing. Df2 is easily one of the best fps games ever made. I just wish i could figure out why my cd music doesnt work on all levels on my win98 build. Also its an a3d title. Aureal Vortex 1 or 2 would be Great.

Dont do this pls dude, the interface is way too bright, use a black screen overlay fo gods sake, just why? its way too small and way too bright, its just not a very good concept at all. i am here to see the gameplay, not the facecams
