I broke the seat in my XJ and it turned itself into a rocking chair! Let’s fix it… Check out the walk around of my jeep here: • Ben’s 2001 Jeep Cherok...
It’s a generic repair that would definitely work on the older model xjs as well if the bracket broke. Most seats I’ve taken apart in the past come apart pretty similar to this one.
Great video man. And my seat is getting a little lose so it’s good to know how to fix it when that time comes. Also I was wonder how you get your sons car seat in your Jeep. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my daughters seat in my Jeep so I can take her with me on adventures lol
I use the seatbelt through the seat belt hole on the car seat and put all my body weight on it while I tighten the belt as hard as I can. Holds on great. My old jeep even got totaled with my son strapped that way and he didn’t move an inch.
@@mountaincrawlers8 ok I’ve been kinda scared to do that with my daughters seat and I wasn’t sure if could get it locked down good enough since in my wife’s 05 Liberty and our 2019 Nissan Sentra it has bars to click straps into with the car seat and you just tighten it down that way so never done it with the seat belt before but thank you for the info I’ll have to look into it so can try and take my daughter on some adventures soon while she is still young
