Nice job Rick . That's one of the things that the previous owner had put on my XJ before I bought it from him. I do remember way back those things were going for like only $80 I've had a lot of people ask me where I got those from because they're always noticing them in all my other videos.
I've been wanting to do this to my PT Cruiser (now parked since I got my Jeep) and wanting to do this to my XJ. Had the parts saved aside from a job at the garage I used to work at, but by the time I got back to pick them up (yesterday) they have gone MIA. Will have to purchase as I can. Think I'll go with 40 lb props. Great job and glad to see someone use self tappers without pre-drilling.
dude you just saved me some money my friend, comment, subscription and thumbs up well deserved. I think I'll go with 40 lbs, I just had to replace the hood hinges so fk it! if you see this what are the nipple things called or can you post a link to them? thanks bro!
I used electric rams. I can open the bonnet from inside the car with a switch. I flick the switch and it opens right up. Completely unnecessary but it sure looks cool.
Yeah.... real descriptive on that part number....Looked it up on e-bay and no dice mice. Plus the bonnets? I thought about it and decided that any Lazy Fuck would want this. That being said, I decided that I am not a lazy Fuck so no thanks.
That's not the point. I thought your idea was great but I immediately looked on e-bay (Where you said we could find this) and did not find what you referenced. You could have been a little more descriptive. Right? Why don't you watch your own video again and you will see what I am talking about...Brains
I must say it was funny to hear chipmunks (the fast speed of you hitting the hammer) lol. "look at that!" at 4:10 Woohoo! Amazing what one can save if they don't use the "OEM parts..." I do have a dilemma with our camry front seat, the power control module on the door side kinda broke off....can't seem to locate the part...if there is one..but i am guessing it will cost me $$$$$$
Rick, THUMBS UP!...when are you gonna fix your door locks? Lol! Just messin' with ya'! Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised of the astronomical number of people who spend the $140 instead of using their head as you did! Great video as always! God Bless!
i have to pull it up. I used what I had on hand(28lb), but I found some 40 lb struts on eBay for around 25 bucks. I don't know when i will get to pik-a-part next to buy used, so I probably will just buy the new ones.
Can't beat the price!!! I hate those hood props also. If you want to put your hands on that sample from video I made the other day showing the Henry's tropi-cool send me a email at servicetech4u2@roadrunner.com with your address or phone # and I'll call you. I will mail it to you so you can see what you think about it your self. Should only cost me a buck or 2. It cured out fabulous and if your like me I like to judge stuff myself. Wush I had done that test before i seam sealed my bus I more than likely would have skipped the seam sealer all together. It seems to be very good quality especially after it cured completely.
dzlfreek Thank you I will tell him he will like that he is very sweet and is my best little buddy. Funny thing is I watched the video and was laughing at myself thinking it would have been better if I would have shut up and left him alone. He knew what he was doing better than I did Lol. Also I love your bus so far. That color is pretty close to the same color I want to paint mine
