And I thought I was the first person to work on swapping an om617 into a Comanche, super clean and well done, I hope mine runs that well once it’s done.
@@Carla-tz7qwNah. drive one of these high revving turbo diesels in a passenger car and you wouldn't go back to the three banger... And the later MBZ with this motor have some incredible mechanical transmissions and LSD
I live in the Atlanta area and in the process of restoring a Comanche. I have many questions on where you got certain things done. Like where you got the paint and body work done and how much it cost.
That thing will struggle on the hills…. Having owned an 85 merc turbo diesel it was a great cruiser but was a slug. Now you have a slug, that’s lifted, and on off-roaders….. curious to know how it’s holding up now.
@@thewolfsden4650 Still, they look pretty good. I've got a Land Rover Discovery and all the ones I've seen are ridiculously expensive. Wonder if they might fit? Oh yeah, did you make your own adapter for the swap, or did you buy it somewhere?
I see u live in Ga. I live near Dawsonville Ga and I just bought a cj7 and the guy sold me a OM617 with a T90 tranny to go with it. Are u interested in buying it? Or do you know anyone who might be?
