I have the same suspension. Its awesome. I have the heavier springs on the way since they were not available when I bought the kit.

I broke the same u bolt when torqueing it down. Called AEV and they sent me a new one. I didn't put the same amount of torque that they recommended the second time either. I could tell it was gonna snap again if I did. It's been fine since the install.

Hi mate, any updates on long term use? I’m planning to buy one this week, I think I will go with 2.5 instead of 3” as I only have: 35s Steel bumper with 12000 winch Aluminium Alloy Canopy I don’t think it is more than 180kg consistent weight. Do we need extra bits and pieces for the geometry correction & ride quality or do you think it is a full kit? As per your long term review, do you think 3” springs would be better in the long run?

Yes the hd spring will be better in the long run. I would get the geometry correction too. The added track bars you can add later if needed but definitely do the 8100 shocks. That was a game changing upgrade. From the 5100 base shocks.

Great job & nice video. I’m ordering the same AEV kit with the 3” springs for my JTR. I’m also going to get the Hellwig swaybar. Just wondering, did you have to upgrade your Hellwig swaybar to the one that fits a 3”-5” lift? Or, does the one for the stock ride height work just fine/properly with the HD 3” springs? Thank you

Order the cheaper hellwig rear swaybar. The Aev lift kit includes the longer rear endlinks to make it work correctly. The more expensive hellwig rear bar is more money because it includes the endlinks that already come in the aev lift kit. Thanks for the input! I recently upgraded from the aev 5100 shocks to the 8100 aev bypass shocks. I have a video coming comparing them but in short the 8100s handle more weight way better off road and you will find yourself going faster off road as the shocks don’t overheat on sand running/ overuse. You can always upgrade to them later with the aev kit because they are stupid expensive and the 5100s are a huge step up from the rubicon fox suspension but if you will get the use out of them they are worth the investment.

I have the same setup on my JTRD with the AEV High Capacity springs as well. For the rear sway bar bracket bolt location cracking, I ordered the metal cloak reinforcement. Not sure how to hook them up with the AEV bracket there. Any thoughts?

They bolt up. Unbolt the aev brackets. Install the metal cloak then install the aev back into the metal cloak.

Could you maybe explain the part on the bolt not threading on the rear track bar bracket? Overall I get what your saying but I'm seriously contemplating this kit and would help if you explained what that part requires a bit better and what your fix was for it? Other than just this bolt doesn't thread on here Thanks

Yes. So I had to just use a different nut on the back. Aev said they are constantly updating their parts list too because jeep will randomly change parts. Overall great kit I recc 100% The nut you need is a part you remove anyway. Easy to figure out. I did not need to make a run to the hardware store.

Any info about the actual ride quality?...flex means nothing, especially if the ride quality is bad...

Actual ride quality is going to depend on your rig weight, and most importantly tire size and pressure. If it’s heavier like mine, it’s going to be more on the softer side. With 37s on 15psi. It is perfect for rock crawling and on road use. I recently went to the aev 8100 bypass shocks because I like going fast and the 5100 was too soft for my weight.

Did you have to use wheel spacers with the stock wheels after the lift kit was installed?

I have aev wheels that have the correct backspacing to handle 37s with the aev lift and rubicon flairs. You will need spacers on factory wheels.

Hi there,2022 gladiator rubicon here, I m going to buy the same winch as u,n the front bar is Mopar still ,really like your bull bar could u pls tell me how can I get one or where need I to customize it? I saw my friend had one but from winch warn, n browning Smitty blit website nothing is needed 😂
