I too have a white Rubicon, nearly fully loaded, 2021. Second owner, the first had zero apparent issues in 30K miles according to carfax. One big quirk I could “warn” people about is the leaking back window on the hardtop… word on the street is the design is defective. Even if it’s replaced under warranty the problem will eventually return, thus the easiest solution is a ~10’ run of 7mm silicone vacuum tubing pressed into the window seal gap with a credit card.
For someone that doesn't do much off-roading and what I do off-road is largely sand and trips to the beach, I went Mojave. I always recommend it to people that don't have plans of modifying or rock crawling. The Mojave suspension makes a world of difference in the ride and I think it looks better than the other trims. But that's me though
Good video brother I have a willys has the black front end it's a white Jeep defenders are painted white the Red shock upgrade Dana 44 is front and rear. Heated seats 84 screen with uconnect 5. Plus heated steering wheel. Spraying bed liner back window slider. And it's a 2022 and I bought it for 47,000 it lists for 53 plus I got the Alpine 350 upgrade and the stereo. I traded a big horn edition in for it because it wouldn't fit in my garage. Thanks 🇺🇸👍
I'm trading my F150 in for a Rubicon or a Mojave, whichever I get the better deal on and that rear sliding window will come in handy. I'm putting the SmartCap on it and it has the window that lines up with the sliding window. My Dogs will be in the back so whenever they want to pop their heads through and visit they can :) Thank you for the review.
I had thought about getting one but sting on the fence. I'd get the rubricon. I hate the mpg on this. But I would use it for off road and as a hunting vehicle
The Bestop Sunrider is the best upgrade I've every made on any of my jeeps. It is literally a game changer. To open and close a sunroof in 2-3 seconds is fantastic. I install it a year ago and haven't seen my hard top panels since. Love it!
The back seats actually lock at the top with the key so if you have the hard top off nobody could get into your seat if you're carrying a pistol or something.
Get the eTorque and you'll not have the secondary small battery. Instead you'l l have a "mild hybrid" system. A regular 12v main battery with a 48v hybrid battery that handles the Auto Start/Stop. Much better system.
I would like to know if I should buy the Gladiator 2022 v6 or the new Rubicon 2024 2 l turbo ... I am located in Thailand, and the gladiator is a lot cheaper in this case .... thanks
If comparing Rubicon to Sport or Sport S which is what you called Sport + you have to mention Max Tow vs. Tow package vs. no tow package :). Only the Sport and Sport S can get Max Tow which may be the main selling point to someone which can to tow up to 7650lbs along with the additional payload ratings max tow has.
You mentioned the Mojave in this video and the other Gladiator video you did 4 months ago. Did you get an opportunity to drive one? I'm interested in a ride and handling comparison. Thanks.
All the Way!!! Thinking about a Gladiator… started watching your video and I noticed your hat! Funny thing is I just bought a black version of the same hat!
Hey great video, I went to Central in Norwood on 9/10 and test drove a White Rubicon, might have been yours! I have a white car already so I ordered a 23 Gladiator Rubicon from them … still waiting. I’ve also owned two Foxbody mustangs 88 GT and 92 5.0 LX Sedan. You have excellent taste in vehicles! Lol
8:29 They make a bag for them, if you don't mind paying nearly $100 for it. But me? I don't have money to waste. Instead, I went to Harbor Freight. I needed bungees and straps anyway, and I picked up two of their dark blue mover's blankets. I still haven't opened one of them (it stays under the rear seat, driver's side, under my kid's car seat). The other I keep folded under the passenger side. It's (barely) big enough (if you do it just so) to lay one top in its corner, fold the blanket over it twice (one lateral fold, one longitudinal), and tuck the other top inside the top layer. Two long bungees diagonally keep the whole thing relatively secure (as long as you stay on pavement). You keep the back seat, and you keep the tops protected, and with you. I don't take the tips off when hauling furniture or appliances, but that's not an issue. Price? $8 for the blanket I use, $15 for the plastic jar of bungees. Been working just fine for the five months now that I've owned it. Now, I am considering installing eye bolts in the upper holes of the bed, and redoing my fold method to hold the tops vertical against one of the four sides of the bed to avail me off cargo space while keeping the tops-off option. But that has yet to be tried.
Wife drives an Altitude, no longer offered, nice ride well equipped and was well under $50k. Recently test-drove a Rubicon for $10k more and it felt ponderous. Not the value trim in the Gladiator lineup IMO. We're not offroading but we do deal with deep snow. Bought a Willys and its perfect. Capable, affordable and a nice platform if we want to add lockers, lift kit etc. later. Likely we wont do a thing but drive it. Its a Jeep, afterall.
I got a clear lidz see through one piece top it's like $1,400 takes about 5 minutes to put on super simple you could use it year-round also and it's practically indestructible watch a video on it I love my gladiator I wasn't sure going from a big horn edition night edition 2022 to gladiator but I'm glad I did it thanks for your content brother. 🤠🇺🇸👍
Well, figures 82nd Dirt Dart bought the best just for show, not to go...but quite sound logic ! You should go find some dirt for sure-Says a jealous Leg😂
Love it! Appreciate the love for the keep. And most legs I’ve meet are the smart guys in the army. Someone didn’t convince you jump out of a perfectly good plane!
This a great video you hit a lot of my questions. I in Portland Oregon and I am going to go and look at a sport plus. They are asking 35000 it has 13000 miles. It’s clean one owner have done my homework on this truck. Looking to get them down more on The price. Or thinking of leasing. Not sure.
I bought a new Tacoma TRD Offroad for 2017 and again in 2021. Around 33k the first time and 41k the second time. I just saw a new 2022 Gladiator Rubicon with 59k MSRP on sale for 49k. Trade in on mine is about 36k, but should hold that same value for a few more years. It's not dropping. It's hard to justify paying 15k for almost the same exact vehicle only 1 year newer than my current truck. I like it though. I would almost keep my truck since it's paid off and just buy the Jeep. Having 2 very similar vehicles doesn't make sense though.
I got a 2022 Overland last year and I love it. Got it at 495 in Lowell, MA. I just took it in for another service and spoke with my salesman about getting into a Rubicon as I do like to go off road. We've only gone once but the Overland was very capable so I could only imagine the Rubicon. Great video!!
It’s tough. I’ve done a bunch of research. The best answer I have seen is that a rubicon will tow 7000 pounds the Mojave tops out at 6000. I would check with your dealer for exact specifications. Good luck.
I put my dogs in a crate in the truck bed. I take them somewhere to walk everyday, so I just keep the crate back there all the time. If someone steals it, oh well.
When I got my Gladiator Rubicon (April 2021) I was also considering a Chevy Colorado ZR2: Was looking for the MOST capable off-road-focused MID-size vehicle (not compact or full-size), and for my needs (towing-capacity) that meant a truck (not SUV) -- there were only 2 candidates: The Gladiator and ZR2. Couldn't get a ZR2 due to the chip-shortage then...which was probably a good thing as the Gladiator was clearly better performance-wise (even though I paid 10K more for it). Were I to buy TODAY, however, the WAY improved 2023 Colorado ZR2 would of serious interest...and make the choice between the two MUCH harder. "Jeep Wave" -- BR
The Fox shocks suck. 21 Mojave fronts being replaced under warranty. On back order from China of course. Terrible creaking sound. Dealer said not the first issue they have seen. Jeep needs to ditch Fox. 3200 each !
I have been lucky with no problem on either my rubicons. I think that new parts aren’t great in general. $4000 to replace 4 shocks on my wife’s 2016 Cadillac with 40,000 miles
