In this video we learn how to fix the start stop unavailable service issue in a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We also learn where the battery is located and how to replace it.
Hi. Thank you for the excellent video. Did you use a power supply when you replaced the batteries? I used an external battery (connected under the hood) when I replaced the batteries in my car under the seat. Is it necessary? The battery replacement did not take away the start stop system warning sign. Does the system understand that the batteries has been replaced? The car starts good.
Thanks for the advice. I unconnected both batteries at the same time but it did not clear the code. I will go to the Jeep dealer/service at Friday. Maybe the battery sensor is broken.
@@user-jv6uo9jx3v did you ever find the issue? I have the same problem. I had replaced both my batteries and I still have that unavailable service light on. Please let me know. Thanks
@@swimers100 Hi. I went to the authorised Jeep service and they did a reset to the error codes. The error code was gone and it has not come back. The error code reset operation costed about 80 dollars at the local Jeep service. I tried first an unauthorised car service but they could not delete the error code with their equipment.
My auto off yellow light is coming on in my Dodge Durango 2020 GT 3.6 battery is 4 years old do you think it’s my battery causing this light to come on???
Followed every step; for some reason when I go to start the car My dash goes nuts and the car will not start, my LoJack gives me a low battery notification….. Could it be defective battery?
