It looks awesome BUT the reason I have not gotten it yet is because it would look better if it was like the Jeep letters you removed, with the double layer colors, you know. Mine is white with a red Jeep overplayed with dark Jeep on top. Good job!!!
I didn’t get the double layers. I think that’s only the rubicon. Maybe you could write them and ask them. But, it’d be cool to maybe paint the edges red before putting them on. It would have the same effect. Anyhow, thanks for checking me out!
I completely debadged my 2019 wrangler. It had Jeep, Sahara and wrangler unlimited all in a row on the sides. It looked like a billboard. I got an aftermarket trail rated stamp that matched the body colour. I agree Jeep could spend an extra 50 cents and get proper badges.
Nice video...just installed mine this past weekend. I used a heat gun with fishing line to remove the jeep emblem. After removing the black adhesive I used a cloth with a bit of gasoline and the glue came out real quick. Gave my GLADIATOR a totally different look.
You can just put vynil over lay on the chrome jeep or plastic dip. We did both on our jl Sahara. There is another company that makes different color tailgate letters. They make the gray and red rubicon colors.
Man, I 100% agree with you. They shoud be ashamed that they're using cheap crap for such expensive car. Like some of us pay over 60k for these, and we get a freaking sticker. It's redicilous. Very amazing job. I wonder how the "GLADIATOR" would look color matched. Has anyone done it yet?
Nice install, looks much better. In regards to the chrome “Jeep” logo, I’d recommend plasti dip. It’s cheap, durable and super-easy to use. Thanks for the video!
Hole pegs in the sheet metal.........I'd wondered about that .........wanted to remove badge .......can't do it without leaving unsightly hole........🤔 Good relaxing music pal...........👍😎
My gladiator is white. The Jeep letters on the back now are black with red behind them. I ordered the Gladiator letters like you got. I'm going to try and run them through my router and remove about 1/16" of material about 1/8" wide and have that part painted red to somewhat match the original letters. I will email you some pictures if it works out.
Thank you! I lived in Jax a couple of years ago and it's surprising how much colder it gets. I like the weather there better than central florida (Other than the rain), but I moved for work.
Thanks. Sorry about thw loud music. Not sure why it's louder than other times. I've upgraded my camera in the newer videos. #evolvingmale. Always evolving. Thanks for watching! And she's a smart woman.
Looks a lot better. I just got a gladiator overland and thinking of doing this also. I don’t like the decal either, it does look cheap. I’m in Orlando.
DONE..... Late comment, but wanting to show my appreciation for the vid. Got mine and installed it. The matte-black letters looks good against the glossy-black paint for a ‘black out’ effect. And, the adhesive comes off better cold, then heated. My thumbs were tender a few days... LOL
Yeah, mine too. I just did a buddys with him the other day and we split the removal. Both of us had sore fingers. Overall, It was easier to do the second time. Glad I could help. Also great to see someone picking up what I've been throwing down.
@@EvolvingMale for future reference, if you even help someone else do one of these installs get a 3M Erasor wheel, they will make an easy job of getting the adhesive off.
