You may find that the standard JB Weld you used eventually turns soft when exposed to antifreeze. That's the issue I ran into. There is a product called JB Weld Radiatorweld that should be better for this application. I haven't used it but have an inquiry to them as to its resistance to ethylene glycol antifreeze.
