i only recently found dave on youtube after not seeing him or fred for several years, and im blown away by how fast the quality of videos is jumping. at about the same time i found tony angelo and david freiburger. so now im getting lots of offroad and roadkill style content where the kickback from my views goes directly to those people. and i LIKE that.
Dave, you are one of the best fabricators that I know of. You take what's roaming around in your mind and make some of the best stuff, no matter where it goes on the vehicle.
I had to wait an entire day to watch, because I had other plans. (Well, wifes plans). But its worth the wait, great content. I love this build. It was a good base to build on too. Fred did pretty good...
@@thedirtheadshedThat's the main thing I want to comment on also. Definitely noticing a different vibe to the filming quality and seeing the editing improvements. 👍
I am excited to watch and hear Dave work through his creative process for designing the rear trunk bed iteratively in free space from his mind to reality without a computer model. Great work Dave.
It brings me joy to see this thing not look like it used to. I had a deep hate for the double end look even though it was unique and different. Now it’s just a sick rig and not a sickening rig.
@@thedirtheadshedWait you have someone editing for you? Around 19:55 there is a part that was obviously supposed to be edited out. I have noticed these on at least the last 3 videos, multiples in each. Thought nothing of it cause I figured it was just you doing your best, I hope you aren't paying for these edits!
@@AR-ed3xw that's dave's Dirt Every Day "say the line right" coming through haha, ive noticed it too. i dont mind it tho, cuz it caters back to his film roots on the show with MT.
Dave once again, your an artist when it comes to the fab work. Truck bed looks great. Good to see the Skyjacker JK coilovers conversion too! I'll file that away for when the JKU mods start someday. Thanks for being rad, looking forward to the next video.
this is what made dirt every day so fun. dave is a fantastic fabricator. freiburger has said several times that dave just "makes things happen" and he does it at a really high level of quality at the same time.
I'm a car youtube junkie and your absolutely killing it. You're great in front of camera and your second takes have become a fun staple to me. Your fabrication style is so down to earth and realistic. Quality while getting it done quick. Keep it all up!
Hey Dave, I’m in Northern Michigan and I just winched a 1947 Willys Jeep on my trailer for 1000 bucks thanks to info from you and Derrick from vice grip. I’m hoping to have her running tomorrow. It’s rougher than a corn cob, but it’ll still be fun
I like your openness about not having a solid plan and just shooting from the hip when needed. I think a lot of us run into that. We want something different, just not sure what until it all just falls together.
Dave these are my favorite kind of videos ! Watching you create something out of nothing is just amazing! Keep up the good work brother! We will keep watching
Awesome work! For years I've considered cutting the roof off my XJ bed hind the rear doors and doing a tire carrier similar to this at the the same I do the cage, and this episode is VERY motivating. Off to order Rear frame stiffeners and tube!
I love watching your fabrication work. For my taste, the music in this video is so much better than the head banger / punk stuff that is frequently used…
I am gonna try the take a shot challenge for every time Dave says "I'm stoked" for the next episode. I may end up on the floor!!! The channel is kickin ass Dave keep it up. There is soo much to learn here.
I remembered the old "push me pull you", so I wasn't too hot to see it changed up. That is going to be a solid step up. Can't wait to see the finished truck.
Wicked this thing looks awesome so far, can't lie I've seen pictures of the finished product but really enjoy watching the build! That on the fly but not completely on the fly (because of your experience) and that is a complement is inspiring!
When you look at the time, effort, skill and money that goes into a Kibbe or Morgan Clarke Trophy truck build, as far as welding is concerned, months and months are spent. Not to take away from those guys, they're designing a vehicle from scratch. Suspension points etc. But what you have been able to accomplish in a few days with that bed is incredible . And the work is not shoddy at all. Cheers Dave, Michael in Toronto.
Watching this with a buddy and we are like 17 min into it, with the direction you are going I’d recommend doing the spare tire as a stand up in the drivers side front corner of the bed so it doesn’t obstruct your view from the drivers seat and also doesn’t take up as much real estate in the back of the bed
Just wanted to pop in and say I'm truly impressed by the improvement in the videos from the channel starting to now! It's really amazing and you're so much more comfortable with the camera. Jeep is looking really rad! 🤘🏼 Keep up the great work! 💪🏼🇺🇲🦅
Rock crawler meets desert racer look is an awesome idea! Glad you saved this Jeep from the storage shed and are giving it a new look, excited to see some wheeling videos of it in the future!
Dave, hello from Borrego Springs! Loving the amped up production quality you guys have added to this build series, the videos are even more rad than usual, killing it!
I miss watching more of your process. Watching you thinking through problems, troubleshooting, and trial and error. May not be other people's jam, but i prefer that to the fancy camera work and loud music.
@thedirtheadshed i think he did a good job, just giving feedback. I am gonna watch anything you personally do because I really like your way of explaining, thinking, humor, vibe, etc. Hope it didn't come across super negative, just telling you my thoughts. I always loved when Fred had you on and glad you became such a huge part of DED. I seriously hope you have huge success, you deserve it, brother!
Looking Good Dave👍👍👍👍👍! I was hoping that the spare tire rack will swivel back for rumble seat so that when you are just putt- putting around with the family, its a four seater😀. Awesome truck bed fab.
I thought that was the coolest jeep. Always remember Pewe in that jeep. I'm disappointed you are taking off the double front rear, but it is your project and I love watching you fab. Keep up he great content.
