Wow. What an amazing video. If only this were the standard for aftermarket add-on sales! Seriously, great work. I'm surprised there isn't an OBD data line in the uConnect area that could be used instead of routing all the way to the diagnostic port. Everything in these jeeps is on the CAN bus, uConnect surely is too, no?

Thank you very much for your support. The OBD connection is only needed to read the vehicles diagnostics. I’m sure there is a savvy wiring schematic that could grab the data from elsewhere.

Yes it would apply to your right hand drive Jeep, however we’re unable to ship Alpine products outside of the US.

That unit has the capability to connect a HDMI cable and watch a streaming from your iPhone , correct ?

That is correct! The head unit has 2 HDMI ports to extend a cable from the back of the unit to a location of your choice for access which you can stream from your phone.

Or can you stream from the apple car play cable you installed in the glove compartment?

The cable that is extended to the glove box is for wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, however the unit has 2 HDMI ports which are meant for streaming.

@@jeremyharmon8331 Hello, the OBD connection is required for the head unit to read and display the jeep’s diagnostics. Yes, this unit retains the factory steering wheel controls.
