@@canofbeanss When was that...I know things are high but that seems stupid high. Here in Mass 4 months ago I bought from a used car lot a 98 TJ 4Cyl 5 speed 177K miles for $5.5K and that was high especially since it had a rusty frame. They just sold a 2004 TJ 68K auto very clean for 11K.
@@cbmadcow It was about year and a half ago. Its a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition 6Cyl 5 Speed. It does seem pretty high but it also isn't stock. The whole frame was redone and reinforced, the whole inside tub coated with bed liner. It has a 4 inch lift and 33's mickey Thompson tires, ATX rims, side rockers, matching spare tire, brand new soft top, seats looked brand new no rips at all, carpet, WORKING GOOD AC, Subwoofer. Barely any rust only one bad spot in the back under the tail light but took it to a body shop and got it taken care of and got the whole thing painted.
Lmao! This video was so good years ago, and 20 years later just as awesome! Just a guy driving and showing the performance that alot of other reviews on this vehical had talked non sence about the brakes, the handling and this and that! This just squashed all of that from a guy driving! Lol, I just finished a full restoration of a 2000 wrangler 2.5L and before I bought this vehical I had watched all the videos online and 20 some years later finally got a chance to buy one with no regrets! No word of a lie the vehical only had 3 bolts holding the cab on and it still drove fine! I wouldn't suggest that! It's just funny how safe this vehical is, it's only unsafe when people don't keep putting in the work to repair them! I had to make new frame rails and weld them in each side and make a whole new floor! I'm going to oil undercoat every year and I should never have a problem with the vehical rotting out again! Thanks for this video years ago! Lol, also said to not be a family vehical!!!!!! These bring family together and I can't wait to take my 10 month old daughter driving in the summer with the top down!
This makes me so sad I have a 97 4banger tj and I’m selling it literally tomorrow that car has been such an amazing part of my life and I can’t wait for what’s next but it is such an unforgettable car
I bought a 97 TJ in June of 96 when they first came out. It had a 2.5 and I think I paid just south ofb20k for it. Fast forward to 2021 and 5 Jeeps total, I paid 54k for the JLUR that I have now.
It is more like €13,000 - €15,000, depending on age and condition. You made a mistake in the description, bro. This car is definitely not worth €15. :D
