We bought some affordable trail doors off of amazon to save on scratches on the jeep. We did not expect much of them and wasn't sure how they would turn out, but actually they are not bad. They have held up pretty well to some tight trails with a lot of brush so far. I will drop a link below for them in this description as well as the mirrors we purchased. Just got these. Thank you for this video. The instructions were not helpful with bolt, washer, and lock washer placement. Also helpful with the cardboard. I like them. For the money they're great...👍❤

Glad to hear and see that the video was helpful. We like ours still good to the day, although the latching mechanism does come loose and so should be checked every once in a while. It keeps the door from closing. Just be sure to carry an Allen wrench with you. Hope you check some of our other adventure videos and we hope you can subscribe. Great vid! My question is on the mirror bracket, it looks like the one you put on the door has the holes and mount going horizontal, and the mirrors you show on the link have a vertical mount- can these mirrors adjust to work with this config? or is just in how you afix the mirror to the bracket? Thanks!

you didn't mention or cover the restraining straps for the front or rear doors to prevent them from swinging into the body. Looking for the orientation do the shorter straps go up front or in the back?

They didn’t come with them but I added some paracord door retailers. Hooked in normal spot on jeep and I loosened a bolt on the tube door and attached it there.

Great tips. Did your doors come with restraint straps? Also, what is a “tuffy lock”? Is that some kind of a locking nut? Thanks again.

Thank you. No I bought them separately from Amazon. It’s a lock nut for the bottom of your doors to keep them from getting stolen. You use a key to unlock it then you can remove your doors. Always glad to help.

I’ve never heard of tuffy locks. Lol What size thread are hinge bolts? Are the tuffy locks sold by thread size?

@@twdenman1 Tuffy is a brand. They are a company that sells multiple products for multiple different platforms. You should be able to go to their website and look up the locks for those hinge bolts according to your vehicle.

I noticed you only had one bolt holding the mirror bracket onto the door. Do the holes not line up? Does the one bolt hold the mirrors in place and not move?

Yeah those mirrors are junk. I would definitely look into a better set. We got them quick and cheap and have not been very happy with the mirrors. The doors have been great but should have gone with a sturdier mirror. After hitting a branch they are very loose where arm connects to mirror itself.

@@noboundaries8981 haha we’ll I’m a little rough on stuff you might have better luck. yeah that’s why I got them. They lasted awhile but no they don’t make many direct fit options. Hope they work out for you. I would suggest loctite, blue or orange on all doors hardware including latch setup. Mine kept coming loose and out of adjustment so door would latch while wheeling 🤦‍♂️😂 I orange loctite EVERYTHING on Monstro.

They are an off-brand they are sent from Ecotric. I just noticed they are unavailable, darn. I know the EAG ones are comparable and cost a little more than what we paid for these. Bummer they are out of stock.

Very easy. They were tight at first but good now. Probably a little paint on the door stud.

@@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS did it today it didn't go great. I underestimated how much I would need and the store didn't have more. So I had to go to a different store and buy a different brand which was not the same color. So I recommend getting 6-8 cans of the same brand/ color before you do it. And I was panting them red.

@@akikis8 yeah I know how that goes for sure haha. I use rustoleum x2 paint and primer in one it covers very well but I always buy too much. Great tips much appreciated.

Right, some of those 1,000 dollar ones are pretty nice though. But these will do, we put them through some thick brush last weekend and they're still doing good no rattles. Let's just say we are pleased with product. Thanks for your support 🙏.
