Thomas, Good morning! Thanks for making this step by step video. You took my advice. Good for you buddy. It turned out to be an excellent DIY video. And, you editied, which I also noticed btw. Great work! That was exactly what I was looking for. This changed your RU-vid content provider "game" and your channel. I, myself, and Im sure, others were, looking for just, such a video of this proceedure, by someone, with a bit more sheetmetal working expertise, like yourself, in order to do this properly. I really needed to see up close. Someone else cutting away and exposing the parts, components and other areas inside that brace and, how to handle the spot welds. You, and the new Go Pro worked well together to explain, and show it all, in a very clear, first person shooter game, sort of way. Jeep Sweet !!!!!

Thank you. Being able to go hands free with the gopro was great and I can't believe just how well the video quality was. I'm very happy with it.

Actually, the way you forehead mounted the Go Pro, was perfect. It sort of, just followed you all around the shop, like an obedient dog, following and tagging along as you went thru your thought processes, finding the right tool, and then providing excellent video documentation of each part of the fender mount modification and cutting away the unneeded factory metal. All in all, it was genius And, the way you spoke, explaining each part out loud was terrific and was loud enough, to clearly hear you most of the time, without you having to wear a lapel or shirt microphone and go thru the hassle of later syncing up your audio to your video, in editing. The Go Pro, headmounted was close enough to your mouth for acceptable speech clarity, plus,was was 4K video quality clear and better than I expected, BY FAR. Now you made me want to get a GO PRO like yours, lol. Especially after seeing you use it and it freeing up your hands and being able to first hand, watch it all unfold, up close to the action, was, in a word - Awesome! Its hard to explain but Ill try.. It was on the viewers point of view, especially for Jeep lovers, like myself....it was my version or vision of &First Person Shooter version of Jeep Porn& ! weird sounding maybe, but totally cool, defintely! Lol.

a trick: you can watch series at Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies lately.

Fun Fact, a ZJ has over 3300 spot welds.🤣

Hi Thomas! Rewatching this video yet again, third time today in between messing with ebrake pad R and R. I just love the audio and video clarity and detail of the Go Pro 9. Too cool.... BTW, If you do ever find that you have to replace or even remove the header panel and upgrade or change the grille or headlamps, side marker lights and turn signals. Please do a detailed video on the removal and replacement of the headlight adjusters. Nobody on YT has covered this topic in any way that does it the justice it deserves. I believe your attention to detail and personality would lend itself to making sense of all the clips and the air sensor and the bulb electrical wiring. Someone needs to do a video on this topic that fully covers it in detail. PROJECT DAN H did this topic fairly well if you ever need a basic guide yourself but you seem like you know your way around the toolbox pretty darn well.

You have to keep on making more GO PRO up close and real, DIY ZJ mods and repairs and upgrades, add-on's, etc. Videos like this one rock and this one gets a big thumbs up from me! Thanks alot, Thomas. This video pushed me over the fence on whether to leave the bumper mount and related sheetmetal, stock, ....or not. After seeing this I vote..not. This gave me the confidence to go this route for clearance and the aggressive look, I also want. Btw, do you go by your full name or Tom? Also, just curious, what version of Go Pro was that, a 5,6,7,8? And, did you just take the plunge for this and future vlogs and buy it, or, did you already have it? Food for thought, Thomas. A suggestion, for you??? When you have time, set up an affiliate account with amazon and start adding items like this Go Pro and accessories, tools, and other stuff you use and recommend to your Amazon &my stuff& page so you can link it in your You Tube videos and get some affiliate income coming in from Amazon. thanks again buddy. Great job and nice end result.

Thanks for responding. I'll refer to you as Thomas then. Nice to know. I'm David, obviously. I am grateful to have found your channel. Its been fun getting to know you thru your videos and follow along on your ZJ project. Btw, I dont mind much when folks call me Dave, but prefer David. As for the GoPro9 info. That helps me. That little camera is clear as a bell. When I get to tear into my ZJ, as funds and health issues dictate, (i'm 54 and body is not what it once was) Ill be getting one of those bad boy action cams as well to document my misadventures. I appreciate the info, Thomas. Have a great day!

Where did you relocate the charcoal canister on the drivers side too. I’m in Commiefornia so, elimination is not an option.

you can throw it where the original air box goes with some rubber pcv or fuel rated hose. did it on one of my jeeps, the other jeep just got a plug in all the lines, which never set a light so i stopped caring

Just looked over mine. There was no ground in that area on my zj. Mine is a 96 the only wires it had on the driver's side was fog lights and crash sensors no ground cable's
@thomasbeyer
@thomasbeyer 3 года назад
If yours had a ground there and you didn't cut any wires just drill a new hole in the upper sheet metal and remove the paint around it and bolt it there

So I did do that but idk why it’s doing what it’s doing I’m throwing no codes too So my fuel gauge isn’t working (New fuel pump a week ago Was working fine ) And I can’t move out of park

@@bigmoe562_4 it's an emissions thing. It catches the vapors from the gas tank and holds them there and then let's the engine pull the vapors so they don't escape into the atmosphere. It's not necessary. If you live somewhere where they do a thorough emissions inspection you may have a problem but that's it.
