I 1000% agree!! I adore my little brother and I would sacrifice my life for his with no hesitation. So that's the reason I hate and avoid rewatching this movie, the idea that I couldn't save my brother and be left behind while God knows what happens to him...

I think the brothers should react to a Soldiers Story. One of Denzel Washington's first movies. It's about segregation in the military. It's a great watch.

The most disturbing thing about Derry's corpse at the end, is that the front of his face is fully intact, meaning the Creeper dug through the back of his head to reach his eyes without damaging them. The screaming from Derry at the end throughout the factory was him suffering through the Creeper digging through his skull before dying after he reached the brain.

The psychic was looking at Trish in a sympathetic way bc she knew how emotionally scarred she was going to be after the Creeper took her brother. He chose Darry bc of what he saw in the basement, they both were afraid but he was more affected by what he saw, he knew what the Creeper was capable of & it scared him more…🥺

@MrCageCat
@MrCageCat Год назад
@@marcellomercuri5619 The way I see it the Creeper can't sustain his body naturally, so constantly has to be eating parts from people to replace the parts of his body that might be decaying. In this police officer's head he probably smelled that the tongue was desirable and took it to replace his own one that probably needed replacing anyway. Also why he took Derry's eyes (his own ones were white, if you look at the scene wherefore he flies off, indicating his own eyes were old and not working so well anymore). Also because Trish and Derry were siblings he probably could have chosen either, but Derry had more fear in him, so he ultimately chose him.
@PauloRNasc

@@marcellomercuri5619 The eating tongue scene whas shot in order to make the creeper talks. There's a deleted scene in wich the creeper says Darry's name in the old lady's house. But they cut it because the creature is far more scary remaining in silence plus the scene gives off that he wants Darry after all so they cut it to keep the mistery about wich one it wants

The most disturbing scene in this movie for me is seeing Trish just looking up at the Creeper flying away with her brother, knowing he's about to die a horrible death and you will never see him again. One of my favorite horror movies for how different it is from all of the other slasher movies (the truck chase, the fact that the two main teenagers are brother and sister rather than bf/gf, the song choice, it taking place in the deep rural south and a good part of it during the day, the creepers design and need to feed to regenerate, the “Sistine Chaple”). It is unique and effective cinematic horror!

There is a Comic Series detailing the backstory of the Creeper: He is as old as humanity but only made contact with the Aztecs who worshipped him and gave him the name "Uktena" Which means "Dragon" they would offer him sacrifices, cutting out the hearts of men which would call the Creeper and allow it to feast, the Leading Priest would offer the sacrificed hearts to the 'god'. The Creeper was respected but immensely feared by feeding it within the cycle of spring the Aztecs believed it would be satisfied and they would escape its wrath, as the age went on and the first Americans arrived the Creeper abandoned the Native Americans who it associated with after the Aztecs but it still preyed on the Pilgrims, eating their eyes before vanishing and only resurfacing (That we know of) in the 20th century In 1962, In a city known as "Centralia" there were a bunch of miners exploring tunnels to craft a mine shaft, they broke through its "House Of Pain" discovering that the Creeper was no longer hunting to sustain itself fully, but that it was hunting, taking the prey back and stringing them on the walls to slowly eat over a course, evolving if you put it into terms and this would lead to the main movie, it's the evolution to dress as a human and be incredibly intelligent is due to its age as it's essentially immortal. In any case, the miners were slaughtered but one of them managed to light an explosive which mixed with the chemicals in the air set off a chemical reaction causing a massive explosion in the mines, those citizens above heard of it and suffered, they couldn't breathe due to the toxic air until it calmed and authorities claimed it was a "Accident" leading the Creeper into obscurity again. The rest of the comic actually has an actual sotry following a college story researching the Uktena and gaining the Creeper's attention! Would Recommend it.

I always found the 'demon' scarier before its full appearance was revealed. The image of this large figure standing by the pipe in that heavy dark outfit and the hat always gives me chills. When I found out about the director when they announced the 3rd movie was being made, everything immediately clicked into place and I felt sick to my stomach that not only did this convicted child predator turn his own monstrous essence into an even bigger, immortal monster of his own creation, meaning he is completely self aware that of how much of a monster he is and gets off on it by immortalizing himself, but he was allowed to make MULTIPLE films and profit off of it. And it's barely even talked about. They still making movies and people are still watching, most of them having no clue...

I remember begging my dad to let me and my brother watch this movie. Needless to say after it was all over, I was scared shit less. I remember looking at our closet for a while. Thinking the Creeper was gonna come and get us. Also, the ending was very dark and messed up. We the audience can hear Darry begging for his life and not seeing it. Felt very helpless in the moment. Then it turned into heartbreak when we see his dead body with half of it gone and both of his eyes taken since that was what the Creeper wanted. Audiences usually like that Disney kind of ending where the good guys always win but sometimes, we need the villain to win and make it all the more real if that makes any sense. The Creeper was also kind of a badass too! I remember being kind of shocked when I saw him doing flips and shit. Like what a boss. Of course, that was mostly because he had wings. The thing I also liked was not really or truly knowing what the Creeper actually is and we barely know anything.

Jeepers Creepers is a Halloween classic and the best, by this point the only best in the franchise. Give Jeepers Creepers 2 a watch, it’s really fun!

I'm a heavy truck mechanic and love movies that involve vehicles. The creeper van was a 1940's Gmc COE that they modified. They built the back end to make what's called a panel van, and dropped cummins 5.9 turbo diesel in it and cranked her up a bit. That's the turbo whistle you hear when they do they chase POV shot. Those engines can handle upward of 500 to over 1000 hp when done correctly so the speed you see from the old clunker is horrifyingly real.

Sure. The first one served its purpose well, saw it in theaters just like Jeepers Creepers, for that matter. Then they did a sequel with Texas Battle (Lewis Romero from Final Destination 3) in the main role. After that, the franchise was milked beyond any sense of quality control. Unfortunate.

This is one of my favorite movies!!! The reason why the demon didn't kill the psychic woman is because she wasn't scared along with the sister. Well....at least they weren't as scared as the brother. The demon feeds off of fear.

I love movies from this era. My favorite part is looking back at the year it was released and realizing my parents took me or dropped me off at some GREAT horror films at a stupid age. Saw this one in theater with my mom when I was NINE. First “R” movie was Texas Chainsaw Massacre in ‘03. LOL

You guys always pick such great lesser-known movies, haven't seen anyone else on here do Big or this one. Love it. To the question of whether it's alien or demon, I always kind of thought of it as a creature that had always been around living among us, not alien or demon but maybe a freak offshoot of humanity, just one of these horrible things smart enough to live with us while laying low enough to not get hunted and killed. Always thought there had to be at least something like that out there in the world.

Yes, you’re correct. When he eats the cops tongue he speaks after his face is revealed behind the old cat lady. He says “She don’t smell too good, Darrius” in a southern accent. It was much more frightening never hearing his voice so they took that scene out.
