When I studied Tae Kwon do I see the weakness in the hands ,so SAVATE to me puts in the good hands elements of boxing & utilizes the good basic Tae Kwon do kicks very well ,but lacks elbows & knees ,so THAI BOXING feels in that gap but lacks the footwork of boxing! So, SAVATE puts that intob effect very well !! Plus they wear shoes which is more geared for the streets!! & causes more damage to the human body!! So, SAVATE to me rules Supreme in stand-up kickboxing for the streets!! Especially, the old school SAVATE, where they had grappling to take the opponent down!!! & stomp his head like the dance of death!! But ,again, it lacks the finger jab ,so JUN FAN KICKBOXING!! To me, completes it all !! Thanks to Bruce Lee hard work in studying different arts !! Especially in the stand-up game!!!
