Jeff and Billy singing my "Foxy Lady." CHILLS!!!!! Made me cry, memories of a special time 'NOW' having this gem shared by a most fantabulous Being, giving me new beautiful memories of hearing this Terrific tune. Thrilling my inner being to the core. :-)
I´m also a guitar player. And billy gibbons is one of the texas shuffle blues guitar masters... that´s undeniable. Even eric clapton respect him. And as for jeff beck I agree with you.
because you get more dynamics, different tones/sounds depending on which bit of your finger/thumb/nail hits the string, you can play up to 5 strings at exactly the same time, you can pluck a string and have 4 digits left to control the knobs/trem arm and you wont have any issues dropping a pick. The only thing that you dont get is the percussiveness of the pick itself (so acoustic strumming and the tight palm muting / metal riffs wont sound quite the same).
@robmatlivingstone billy gibbons. his work in the early zz-top (c. tres hombres era) was fantastic. hendrix himself declared gibbons to be one of the best young guitarists of the time. this isnt his best performance, but both his tone and licks are incredible.
