Mná Na Heireann (Women of Ireland). Ez a dal egy igazi gyöngyszem, s ők nagyon egy-húron pendülnek. Részlet Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 DVD-jének kettes korongjáról. Enjoy!
for anyone interested, this music was written by a great Irish composer called Seán Ó Riada and it's name is "Mná Na hÉireann", which translates as "Women of Ireland". There are words to this piece, originally from a poem by Peadair Ó Doirnín, itself called Women of Ireland.
Jeff Beck was just simply the most gifted guitar player of them all. Jimmy, Eddie, Stevie Ray, Blackmore, they all owe a lot of their licks to the Master of the AXE. R.I.P. Jeff Beck!
Will never be another Jeff Beck with his wizardry and guitarmanship. We were the generation to experience this first hand and it’s sad he’s gone but his music will live forever. RIP Jeff Beck ! 🙏🎸🎤.
Such a beautiful rendition. Beck and Wilkenfeld always pair up perfectly and with the addition of Lizzie Ball, perfection! It's wonderful how they don't get in each other's way, True professionals that compliment each other.
@#JohnnyDeppIsARapist!! #JohnnyDeppesracista what is the hell does that have to do with this performance?! Post what you will in the appropriate place, but not on a video of Beck and Wilkenfeld.
That violin was absolutely beautiful! The violinist reminds me of my first real woman, a big German blond. Lived with her for 6.5 years...if only she could play violin!
Jeff was on a seemingly never ending search to find the perfect band mates with which to re-create the sounds he heard in his head. This combination i think got as close to his truth as did his collaborations with Jan Hammer. Jeff's music was always attainable all you had to do was give it a chance.
Jeff just keeps proving over and over that his name needs to be on the "all time best" list. Short list or long list, don't matter, his name needs to be there.
Oh, it is..! He is the most innovative guitarist of his generation and beyond. There is an 'Echelon' of the very best; he inhabits that place with a number of others, many very famous, and some that are unknown..! He, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton have always been my favorites from that 'dwelling place'... Rest in Peace Jeff Beck... in the Light of Almighty God in Heaven..!
Thank God for MUSIC....This is at the Top of my list of Favorites. After 7 spinal surgeries, Cancer of throat, neck, chest, both knees operated on, eyes, after Horrific Accident 'MUSIC BRINGS THE LIGHT", and it does for MILLIONS OF OTHERS. I met Children in the Hospital who use MUSIC as a Medical Aid. Brings Peace. Happiness. Gives us HOPE....Thank you for this Video.
As I've said before in other comments, one of the most amazing things about Jeff, was he gave so many musicians exposure to his audience. Lizzie's notes are beautiful. And the way Jeff plays, is very much like a violin.
To me, it is a beautiful melody, I'm here for Jeff, oh, there we go. this band is highest bar, highest lift me up. God bless JEff BEck. Play it 'til the end. No barking dog.
Tal is always playing the perfect Bass lines to support him. She is never too loud because she knows, most people want to hear Jeff first. But he gives her, her free space and also lets her shine so brightly. All four were a perfect match.
She looks so young to be playing with such famous and talented people. I agree. The Jeff Beck RU-vid with Tai at the Crossroads really highlighted her and how good she is.
This song has such warmth, tenderness and care with only love in the lyrics, Thank you, Johnny, Jeff (RIP) and the whole band. Your incredible performances together have the musical notes which one can truly feel in one's own heart.
This Amazing and Unbelievable Team like never before : Guitar: Jeff Beck , Violin: Lizzie Ball , Bass: Tal Wilkenfield ! Great , Fantastic ! ''WOMEN OF IRELAND !'' COOL !
Sad,loss tal will miss him and all the other musicians played with him still can't take it in no one will sound like jeff again master of whammy bar and volume control thanks jeff for all the years of listening to you been great rip jeff you will be missed by millions over the world 🌎
It's such a pleasure to listen to the unique sound of Jeff Back! Tal just complements his playing magnificently on het bass. And what a violin player!! This is music on it's best.
Really sensitive, beautiful playing by all! Jeff is a force of nature, always surrounded by amazing players that clearly love the gig, mutual admiration apparent onstage; what could be better!
@@singersimon1 Me too, especially given that rock is still sadly, super male dominated, Jeff's clear commitment to seeking out and hiring talented women, and then giving them space for solos and encouraging the crowd to really appreciate them with his gestures of pride and admiration, really stands out; not only is he a great artist, but a forward thinking, decent human being! We're lucky to have him!
Rest in Peace dear friend Jeff Beck. May God show you great mercy in the next experience. You touched so many here with your music and calm performance. I count you among the most talented guitarists that emerged in the 1960's through the experimental 70's till 2023. You will be greatly missed here, but thankfully you are set free of time restraints.
WOW !! Another masterful performance by the inimitable Beck !! There is really no one better at this type of melodic approach. Also, a rare opportunity to hear him actually playing chords.....nice to see Tal back in the band, too!!
I miss this man’s music and his touched by god guitar playing. I am glad when I first heard Jeff BeckGroup then Wired and Blow by blow. This is such a close your eyes and listen to talent and heart.
Magnificent and the musicians know it. They are looking at each other and smiling knowing that this is something really special. I can go to a different place listening to this. I need to find it a recording somewhere.
How sad do you think the world is without you? "very lonely and sad But jam with everyone who's been waiting above the sky I will love you forever R.I.P.
Life is enhanced by sound , matters not which we seek. A fantastic collaboration of talented musicians as is this . A dog and cat playing (* meow, bark.bark) ! A funny laugh , laughing out , out loud ! , the wind through the pine trees , ocean waves lapping the shore, birds in the early morning as the sun rises, earth tilts otherwise known as sunrise, the silence in the moon glow , and the voice of your beloved. Sacred sound.
'Yeah" Tal ! The very best female bassist that I have ever seen 'Live' and although she keeps up with Jeff the man Beck in all his glory She deserves her Glory
English translation: Mná Na Heireann (Women of Ireland). This song is a real gem and they are very much one string. An excerpt of Disc Two of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 DVD.
I saw jeff in NYC with his group, absolutely amazing first album and was hooked on everything he did from rock to blues to jazz. I was fortunate to be a fan of a great talent
