Actually he got himself an existing car, the Defibrillator, and just modified it a little, adapting it to the Achmed theme. Still nice work, but he didn't build the whole car.

The car was originally commissioned by Tom Henchel and was called The Defibrillator. "Mr Weld" Bob Beiler did much of the radical fabrication work. The body modification and paint were done at Fosses Hot Rods and Cool Cars. I did work on Tom's next car called The Resuscitator, a 29' 2 door sedan while I worked at Fosses. I now have my own business Highway 101 Rod and Custom.

Of course as you know, Jeff didn't build this car. Someone else did for their pleasure and later put it up for sale. Jeff purchased it and changed the skull into the Achmed Skull.

somebody should contact Revell or any other Model builders and get them to make a scale replica of the Achmedmobile shit Monogram made a bunch of crazy custom kits from Tom Daniels ...would be very cool in 1/25 scale

It's always about money. They do the research, and if they believe they could sell enough of them to make a profit, they'll do it.Tooling is VERY expensive.

not to mention how many coupe s have they tooled over and over re-popped 20 times they should have enough to make this car already..only need a few things altered to taylor to the custom work on the 1 to 1 car..shit i could spends hours on examples of re-pops where only change was decals ..tires motor options...this car would be easy for them to do...hell Round2 could even do it with minimal tooling...

It's amazing going through the comments and everyone thinks Jeff built this car. NOT TRUE. This car use to be called the Defibrillator, It had a skull for an intake that Jeff made into Achmed along with a couple of other small changes.

if i just did the maths right, shouldn't it say 22000 explosions at 5500 rpm instead of 44000 on the sign? 1 cylinder 4 stroke makes 1 explosion every second turn (1/2 per turn) so 5500rpm * 8 cylinders / 2 would be 22000. edit: never mind, just saw that someone else found out about this 3 years ago ^^

A piece of info in the poster is incorrect. Being a four stroke there are 22,000 tiny explosions a minute at 5,500 RPM. Not 44,000. I love the car either way.
