I've been playing with this move the last few weeks and I agree that at least for me, the roll over sweep seems a bit more high %. I think the arm drag to the back is the goal though. Back control = huge win.

I'm wondering if the rollover sweep should be the primary goal from this position. With the arm drag, you have to ditch your grip which seems a bit risky because if the arm drag fails you have no grip and you've basically been passed.

Also I have to ask. What's the purpose of putting the hand back on the mat? wouldn't it be better served pushing the arm in as you drag in order to grab his belt quicker?

My guess is it creates base or a post which prevents the passing player from pushing Jeff to his side or back.

Putting the hand back allows you to remain sitting upright. Neither move will work if you go to your back.
