realistically he shouldn't have even made it through the last season and he definitely shouldn't make it to the end of this one. you have to be actively sabotaging the team to only win 4 games at Louisville

UofL is reaping what they sewed when they fired Pitino and Tom Jurich unjustly. It was wrong, fans know it was wrong, but UofL is too proud to own up to it and should have rehired Jurich. If they would rehired Jurich, they wouldn't be in the mess they are in today with the bball program. You will never change my mind on that.

Louisville was never in the Great Midwest at all. Cards were Metro till the bitter end, then C-USA. Great Midwest was Cincy, Memphis St., St. Louis, Marquette, DePaul, etc.

I am trying to give KP at least 21 games before I jump on the Fire KP Now Train but after the Kentucky Wes. Game. That's been cut down to 13. I even went through the schedule to see what games we possibly can Win and I came back with 6 Wins total for the season. This sucks

It just has not worked out..at this point I don't think any coach could save this season.... but we definitely have to do something different.... now.... not next year..... how this nightmare shakes out.. your guess is as good as mine...

I loved Kenny as a player. But, as a coach, he's not cutting it.

Ex players who won't give names but have attended practice say it's a shitshow and him and his staff are completely clueless. Now we know why Flowers left. He didn't want to sit out and transfer but wanted no part of this dumpster fire.

That probation/fed investigation wrecked Louisville, and they put an inexperienced dude in Payne to rebuild the program. The hire became a disaster...!

I will tell you this and I do not care who gets upset... as these are facts. Kenny Payne had no business applying much less getting the Louisville head coaching position given his experience. Kenny Payne is not even worth a coach to a mid major program... he had NO EXPERIENCE PERIOD. He has no idea how to prepare and coach a team much less do on the fly coaching adjustments. He has the personality of a wilted lettuce and here is the sad part of it... he has maxed out as a coach! The real question is ... will he have more wins in two years than Jeff Brohm will have as a football coach in his first year?? My bet is that he will not. Kenny was the bag man for Nike both at Oregon and at Kentucky... that was his role. At Louisville, he has no such advantages... as the school is in bed with Adidas and their priority is not college sports as it is for Nike. Kenny was pushed by some influential donors, some ex players with deep pockets, and put the carrot of political correctness to push their agenda along. Now, the school will have egg all over its face when they finally decide to let him go. Best case scenario for the school and program here will be for Kenny to realize it will not work as he is just not capable... and negotiate an exit. He has already made around $4 million in his year and a half with the school... and could probably get another $4 to 6 million if he works with the university to walk away during the Xmas holiday. Attendance is down to less than 4K people at the Yum Center... which holds just over 22K people... and that is a lot of lost revenue. Also, renewals for next season will be laughable if Kenny returns. The AD needs to make sure the next hire is a home run and he needs to start working on it .... last summer if not sooner.

If I was in charge at Louisville I would do everything I possibly can to reconcile with Rick, they had the chance 3 years ago and absolutely blew it. Now if Rick was offered he would decline anyways now we gotta look at new coaches and I don’t see any S tier coached wanting to inherit this Louisville team we had an S tier hall of fame coach and we let him go it still haunts me to this day and won’t get over unless he gets hired again or we can actually get a good coach
