@saddaddrummer......No it hasn't because he remembers what his Dad told him, "don't you go getting big headed". True that. Jeff himself told it on an interview track of the Live in Hyde Park dvd.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can give me
Ha ha. Rumour has it Jeff has lovely eyes, but no one has ever seen them. He's a freaking legend but I think only his mum and his missus have ever seen them! xxx
Love to see such a recent slice of Jeff. Love the young people here who know his music. Some people say that the best you can do is to leave your mark on this world and be remembered after you are gone. I am a 52 year old retired US Army Combat Sergeant...and absolutely no one will remember me or know my words. And I'm ok with that. But I have such a great respect for Jeff because he is one of those that reached for the skies...and got it. Not only that...he dominated!! What a great musical soul he is!! I love this guy. All hail, Jeff Lynne....(and his great band members that made up ELO) Peace all....
Modest,, brilliant, genius, ..one off...he is , just Mr music.. Never see the like again...... Jeff Lynne.. Can't find any other words..... .except.... Class..
The great thing about Jeff is he's a good guy, most people who become famous tend to be egotistical a bit or a lot, he's one of those true gentlemen. 😁
It wasn't about the music. It was that they were a band of young guys who got there at the right time. E.L.O's music is far more diverse and just better.
I also like the way he “ lays down a tune “ actually just last week I went to see ELO Experience ( tribute band ) . Not the real thing but hey they are great , If you get the chance go see see em . You will not be disappointed
What a guy Jeff Lynne is, Complete Musician, writer, Producer, great singer, a real ordinary regular guy, been following him since the 70,s he just gets better and better. xx
What a cute interview... Surprised he did a show like this because he’s so shy, but I guess he’ll do anything for the hometown crowd. Loved the midland sing-along medley!
I think if I were introduced to Jeff Lynne like Alfie, my reaction would not be 'Y'all right?' I'd probably start spluttering and be unable to speak...
13 yo kid may very well have ZERO idea who he just met! lol I would probably be in tears & want to hug and thank him for all of the gorgeous music he has given the world
Jeff is from Shard End, Birmingham. Who would have thought that a working class kid from Shard End would become a superstar. I am a Brummie and grew up around that area in the 60's Kingshurst, South Yardley, Stechford. Jeff Lynn and Roy Wood are Birmingham City fans like me.
EXCELLENT interview! And so cool to see him play the Banjolele just on a whim. He plays it like he's ringing a bell. HA! I REALLY hope he and what is the current iteration of ELO go on tour again. I've always wanted to see them on stage. Richard Tandy is always there with him and is the quintessential keyboardist. I'll have to check into whether they really are going on a world tour. I don't care how much the tickets are, I am buying one if they are actually going on tour. Seeing Jeff Lynne in person is on my bucket list.
Sadly, I think Jeff suffers a from own own humility, he is absolutely brilliant and his talent is humbling, how could Jeff not know we would all absolutely give our right arms for him to tour?
what?...if it hadnt been for one of the 'prats' (Chris evans) Jeff would never have gone on tour...Its due to Chris's support which helped make the radio 2 show at hyde park such a success.
the ukulele brings everyone together ....nice show and what better than an old classic 'when I'm cleaning windows' well played by Jeff Lynne 'Mr ELO himself again I'm so proud to be a brummie...
They have a music genius like Jeff lynne to interview, and they never asked him anything that interesting, what about asking him how he got started, his favourite singers,so for those that don"t know his favourite artists before the beatles were Del Shannon and Roy Orbison,so wish i could of done the interviewing!
Chris is a massive fan of Jeff and ELO. Unfortunately with TV shows like this they have to appeal to the whole, diverse audience. Many of the viewers will have no idea who Jeff is (shame I know! but quite normal).
He started working with different artists back in the 80s. The Everly Brothers. George Harrixon. Dave Edmunds. The Wilburys collectively and their solo albums. He became an independent agent if you like. There is quite a list of people he has worked with over The years. Writing songs. Producing. Etcetera
She was eating cereal and Chris opened a can of worms!!! NEVER let it be said that we don`t dine well in Britain !!!! About time it was `arise Sir Jeff` !!!!
