5 stars for one of the best musicians out there... When I heard in the 90's your albums Jeff I was floored. Keep on composing great songs... do what your soul wants. You're unique.
People don't realise enough the importance of Jeff's music (solo or with The Tea Party)... they made music just as good as Led Zeppelin people... greetings Jeff... you're the best.
Jeff Martin solo, with The Armada or even The Tea Party is really an insider tip here in germany. I'm just 19 years old and saw him first solo on tour as support of In Extremo 2 years ago. From the first note on I thought "Maaaaan, why don't you know this genious?!?!!" What I want to say is that I still can't believe why Jeff Martin is still an "Insider Tip". When I see what attention is paid to Star Search or Crap like that everyday I thinks this world has fallen sooo deep :D
I know!!! me and my lovely boyfriend are off to see him at the Evelyn Hotel on the 19th of September. It's our birthdays a few days before then so I think it's a good celebration! :D Soooo excited! I think in some ways as well, he has grown as a musician; yes he might still play TTP songs whilst being solo, but they are sentimental to him I am sure and it is what made us start loving his stuff in the first place ;)
@Veraudunus Why not ?... I'm so happy when I see there is a man like Jeff with such a great vision... for me The Tea Party is on the same level with Led... I know what I say... even Page is a fan.
Jeff Martin left The Tea Party because he had a kid with his wife, and needed to get away from all the drugs and "rock & roll lifestlye". They moved to Ireland to start a new life.
@valentin80 I agree that Jeff's one of those musicians you find once in a generation, but can we please not get ahead of ourselves and place him on the same shelf as Led Zeppelin, the greatest most versatile rock band of all time?
Jeff's fantastic as he's always been, but Tea Party songs just aren't as powerful without The Tea Party. I don't see why he would want to break up the band pretty much just to play TTP songs unplugged at small clubs with musicians that aren't of JB and SC's calibre. Seems his non TTP songs just aren't cutting it. I hope he's happy, but I say he's selling himself short without The Tea Party.
