With funding from the Norwegian Red Cross, the Kenya Red Cross is implementing a cash for health project in Marsabit and Garissa County respectively. The project which is targeting Pregnant and lactating mothers, malnourished children and elderly aimed at improving drought affected communities' health through cash and voucher assistance (CVA). Pregnant and lactating women have very low rates of health service up-taking in drought affected areas due to access (transportation), cultural and financial barriers (cash).The project targets 4300 beneficiaries in 2 counties ( Marsabit and Garissa ).
