Jeff has unique way in creating song, storyline on MVs and the way he portrayed them, his song always has a deeper meaning.thank you for reaction and continue so...
I absolutely love everything I've ever heard from Jeff. Would love to see you react to Comedy (Tragedy Version), Black Tie, and Steal The Show (with Shaun)! Also the Unchained Live version of Dum Dum!
in the mv what i understood was that when in a toxic relationship there are 3 types of people. first who let the pain destroy them, second who take revenge and third who just enjoy the pain or like jeff says just dum dum with the pain.
love your reaction! would absolutely recommend also checking out the unchained live version of this song. its a little different but amazing too. also his songs fade and black tie:)
I think there are several layers to this. The original reason for writing the song was the couple's toxic relationship, but the visuals in the video suggest both toxic relationships on the part of the music industry (men who look like the mafia) and on the part of some fans (zombies behind red glass). If you look at the different roles of Jeff in this video, then initially there is a dying Jeff-victim. There is Jeff-musician, whom we see against the sky - he is the one who transfers his pain into creativity. And there is Jeff-killer, the one who wants to destroy those who hurt him. When Jeff-killer gets his wish, Jeff-musician destroys him. And Jeff-victim is reborn to a new life. It's beautiful, but painful. Of course, creativity does not have to be a reflection of the artist’s real psychological state. Moreover, Jeff reads a lot and can use some universal plots. But still, the movement from this work to the Ghost is pleasing. There, too, the relationship between the Jeffs is not entirely ideal, but no one killed anyone, and anger was replaced by acceptance.
