2012 team from top to bottom was filthy. They were all in their primes as well, with Kobe being the oldest at 33. Everybody else was under 30, in their prime and athletic peak (with the exception of Anthony Davis who was a rookie at 19). If you're talking about each individual player at their form and age when they were playing in the Olympics, I'm taking 2012. Prime vs prime, I'm taking '92

@@sideshowbobsaget8876 and? The 2012 team did not lack any big names either. Prime Lebron, Kobe, KD, Wade, Westbrook, Harden, Melo, CP3, Love. Iguodala (2012 all star), Deron Williams (2012 all star), Tyson Chandler (2012 DPOY, all NBA) were also at their prime during this time (all under 30 except Kobe at 33). Magic and Bird were beyond their primes and Laettner was easily the weakest player on both teams. 2012's "weakest" player was AD and we all know how great he is as a player now. Again, we're talking about at their age when they played in the Olympics, I would take '12. In their PRIMES, I would take '92.

@@michaelcornwell562 Let's say that's true. I actually agree. The skill gap between Kobe and Jordan is small at best, especially with Kobe mimicking his game after Jordan's game. But the difference in athleticism and natural gifts between Kobe and especially a prime Jordan is quite large. Kobe's skill advantage can't begin to make up for the advantage Jordan's natural talents give him. Kobe is going to be Kobe but Jordan will be the best player on the court and it will show.

If you put each member of the Dream team in their prime, then it's not even that close. It's more interesting with Magic coming out of retirement and Larry on his last leg. And people act like Magic was washed at that point in 1992. He may have been a little rusty, but he was basically forced to retire before he started to decline just one year removed from being the second best player in the Finals and probably the NBA as a whole still. Both the 2008 and 2012 teams will have to drain threes to stand a chance. They don't have an answer in the post.
