Though some may not agree, I thing the 06-09 design much more interesting and unique. Bringing a 30 year old design (from 2008) of the MFM and updated them in this style and look made them so much enjoyable to see on screen
I designed and animated the MFM for the original tour. This model "looks" like its based on my re-design, but there are some glaring differences.... But this certainly is not the actual model or rig used.
I definitely based it on your 2006 tour redesign. Sadly you can’t really model or animate in this game in conventional ways, no sculpting or skeletons. So it looks pretty messy. Love your design and animation for it btw. And your work since has been great to see. Was a definite inspiration for me as a kid when I sat down watching the live tour, and has really gotten me into doing my own walking machine designs and 3D render work.
@@AnalogueOctober I have to say you designed a amazing tripod and the 2006 Wayne tripod is the best tripod out there for The War Of The Worlds. And it’s definitely one of my favorites that I grew up with.
