I saw Jefferson Starship and Starship in the 80s. I just saw Starship with Mickey last week. Dude is 74 and still sounds like he did in the 80s. He's one of the only vocalists I can think of that still can sing like he used to in the old days. Great vocalist and band!

Just discovering this song by them and honestly it is incredible to me how this group emerged and evolved into the 80s , which is how I first discovered them. And that this song is easily one of their finest works and only has 4K views on RU-vid. Sometimes it’s the lesser known stuff that is the gold mine. Now I get to go back and enjoy these iconic tunes that evoke a totally different style, a raw one with zero filters or effects other than the power of the instruments and voices themselves.

Man, talk about sound track of my life. Back in HS when this song was all over the radio, I was broken hearted over my girlfriend's treatment of me. I remember leaving her house in the darkness and these lyrics coming to me. Of course her name was Jane. Cant hear it without all that coming back in a rush.
