I'm not defending Jeffree Star, I'm more so defending the idea that an "iconic color" or look cannot be 100% copyrighted by a person. So the Anna Nicole lawsuit sounds like a lot of bs to me. Several artists find inspiration from other artists, colors, and fashion trends to make their own version. So if he made a lipstick color in homage to her, just saying she's an icon, that's fine to me. But accusing him of theft of her identity.. that's overkill in my mind. The people that "own" Anna Nicole after her death... are just money hungry and want to steal all they can now that they own her. Would they have made the same lawsuit towards other makeup companies that have the same shade? Or is it just because Jeffree Star made a lot of money on that color, and just because it has her name on it means they can steal that money from him now. Ridiculous. My wife and I took a trip to Jamaica last month for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We had to provide negative Covid tests, we were screened again when we got there, everyone wore masks, we were keep to ourselves when on the beach and in restaurants, and we returned safe and sound without Covid. My wife is more likely to catch covid from one of her 700 students (which she's required to teach in person for) here in the US than we were on our trip.
