It lies in his psychology and extreme insecurity, he felt highly incompetent and his self esteem was very low..those men were not looking for relationship anyways..

If only his parents weren't so caught up in their own lifes maybe they could of sensed the unnormal behavior of Jeff and sought help for him . I really blame them for not being fit parents .
@@baronvonandroid3363well duh no one is good but at this level of "bad"... he killed 17 people by luring them into his house, sa'd teenagers, preserved their body parts, commited necrophilia on their corpses, canabalized their flesh, and performed human experiments on them. I get that he was a really sadisitic and depressed person that had many mental problems, but his actions are far worse. the families, the victims, its just horrible.
