Some verses are very clear , actualy the verses that concern us , comon people , gentiles . Others are more complex . The very point of forgiveness is not to address any supposed "imbalance" of Justice. The whole beauty of forgiveness is not revenge or the absence of Justice in and of itself. Its bizarre that one would think that someone can be punished and forgiven at the same time. You either forgive or you don't.

There is no imbalance of justice, should a cold blooded killer be forgiven for a murder upon which he showed no remorse ? Allah doesn’t have only one attribute of forgiveness, he has many. One attribute is of justice. If Muhammad Ali and Stalin end up in the same place is that justice ? Should he forgive Stalin ? But then justice wouldn’t be served. Allah is forgiving and the most just. If you turn your ways and ask for forgiveness, you shall be forgiven but if you don’t justice will be served.
