What a great interview. So much to go for: "Poland", "catch up economies", the dispute with Paul Krugman, you name it. Jefferey Sachs is one of the most interesting voices in the age of sustainable development. We ought to make a global movement based on his insights.

Amazing talk. The final two minutes, on how economics should mostly be practiced in connection with real world problems, are ON POINT.

His answer on robotics - migration was horrible. Might as well have just owned up and said he has yet to consider the implications of robotics on that field.

"...the vulnerable countries..." dependent on resources (income) will have a hard time. Response: uh... When the USD carry trade unwinds and the dollar implodes and eventually world reserves re-balances then it'll be a lot easier for them, all else being 'good'. Also, cultural changes like better education and a more decentralized govt. This will be the hard time for the U.S. No more dictating to the world.
