Many times the Jehova Witnesses are sincerely interested in finding the truth. They honor God almighty and believe Jesus RA was the Son of man and not part of the trinity.

I sensed that too I don’t like that type of attitude when the man was obviously trying to defend his faith that believes to be true it takes a while for these people to see the truth it is a journey. He was being respectful too maybe a little hard headed but nothing compared to of other Christians.

I don't think any of the Gospels writers say they are eye witnesses. In parts of Matthew he writes in first person. Luke was a companion of Paul, Mark was a translator for Peter, so neither of them would be eye witnesses. Blessings 🙌

As for your first question, who authorized the JW Bible, as I am sure you are aware, there is no copyright on Biblical manuscripts, like any other ancient work it is open for public use. Anyone can translate the texts. JWs would naturally disagree they "changed" the Bible, rather they translated it using different manuscripts (than say the King James Bible) There are theological disputes with their translation, but it should be noted almost all disagreements center around Trinitarian and Council Creeds. There are questions and concerns regarding the Apostles being able to produce high level Greek. However, I don't concede all Apostles were uneducated and illiterate. The disiples themselves read and quoted from the Old Testement, and there are instances we are certain they quote the Greek Septuagint. When it comes down to it, it can all be disputed, but my question is on what basis is the dispute being made? It is good to reason and think these things through. But there are times where the motives to disagree are just as important as the reasons to disagree. Do Muslims deny the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ because they have good, solid historical evidence to this conclusion, or does their theology demands they reject this? Do Muslims really regect Paul b/c he did not meet Jesus, therfore all his testimony and work need be discarded, despite evidence of Paul's relationship with the early church. I just don't find this argument compelling. The concern I have with Islamic disputes toward the Bible is they are almost all using the Quran as the standard to judge the Bible. I have been told my faith is baseless because I have not memorized the entire Bible. Muslims memorize the Quran, therfore the Bible (and Christianity) is inferior because Christians do not memorize the Bible. Taking the Quran as the standard, and pointing to differences between Quran and Bible does not invalidate Biblical claims. If I were to tell Muslims "for me to accept the Quran, it needs to be written by dozens of authors, over the course of thousands of years, spread over hundreds of miles." I don't think my argument would be effective, because it specifically emphasizes and targets differences between the Bible and Quran.
