Brother “Mormonism” which is not the name we created for ourselves, we are called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are not evil and the things people say about are 99% not true. Respond to this comment with any critiques or problems with it, lots of controversy surrounds it but I actually read the Bible and have read the Book of Mormon, and I actually know the doctrine. It is sad to see these JW people working so hard, yet it is in in vain. If they studied the truth with this discipline they would be in a great place. We believe in Christ and believe the Bible to be the word of God, there are a few times. I would say that it is not good to always accept what someone else’s interpretation of the scriptures, but really in our church we do not push this stuff we may try to get people to read the scriptures more. Hope I can help you
This man was my mentor. I lived in OC where he had his Christian Research Institute in San Juan Capistrano and his "Bible Answer Man" radio program. He taught me comparative religions and how to interpret scripture using exegesis. One of the country's leading theologians of his time.
San Juan Capistrano was their mailing address until Hanegraaff (or the Board of Directors) moved it to Rancho Santa Margarita. CRI's office was on Hughes in Irvine. So, do you mind divulging your identity?
I can affirm this is very much how Mormonism is, because I was once heavily indoctrinated into Mormonism in the early 1980's ~ 2000's and we were told exactly what the Bible meant, what passages meant, and it has gotten far worst over the years because the LDS church has had a lot of time to review all the refutations against them, and come up with all manner of crafty, deceptive, misdirection, to dissuade their members from seeking the truth or researching many of these issues on their own. When I finally started to read the Bible on it's own, after falling away from the LDS church many years later, and after suffering from a medical issue that I truly believe was God chastening me, it caused me to turn to the God of the Bible, to start reading, studying, and growing in His true word, my eyes were opened and I started to gain understanding in ways I never had before. Those who defend the Mormon faith with much zeal and passion are spiritually blind, and unable to see the truth because they have not accepted the call from our Lord Jesus Christ. I always tell folks, Jesus is at the door, knocking, and wants to share the truth with you. Will you not open the door and seek all truths? There are many Mormon apologists who will declare anything anyone says against Mormon history, even when we share with them factual proof, documents from their own church archives, church papers, journals, discourses, general conference talks, and so on, they will refute and claim many things as false, or have a reason as to why there is no evidence of any kind even today for the Book of Mormon people that supposedly numbered in the millions, with no trace of any weapons, artifacts, manuscripts or parchments of their languages, no silver or gold coins, literally nothing, but yet we can find tons of evidence for the actual Indians and their cultures, the Aztecs, Mayans, and so on. I pray for every Mormon that they will have their eyes opened and come to know the correct God, the correct Christ, and learn of the true gospel, before it is to late.
He's spot-on about the Jehovah's Witnesses. I was working for hospice in the late 90s and had a patient in San Marcos, CA. He and his wife were Jehovah's Witnesses and they were very distressed about what they were being told by the JW cult they followed. My patient was bedbound and dying, his wife was his only caregiver and she wasn't in very good health, and their JW "friends" told them that they were being ex-communicated because they weren't going door to door "witnessing" any more and that they weren't good witnesses. Oh my goodness. My patient and his wife were beautiful people and God loves them so much. Our visits ended up being Christian counseling sessions more than personal care for my patient and I hope and pray they received the truth about Jesus and His everlasting love for them before my patient's death. 🙏✝❤
Run from Hebrews 1:6? Lol no ones running from that lol. προσκυνησάτωσαν is to kiss or do pay homage, Reverence, literally to prostrate. Thats not worship which is: λατρεία.
First he says that if you’re disfellowshipped, you will be considered “dead”. Then he says to “X’s” in the crowd, you’ll be called on again. Which is it?
First he says “they know why” (they study the Bible), then he says they are blind… did he eve realizes he contradicted himself, while “he’s” telling them what the Bible “means”…🤔
They don't understand the Bible but they know why they believe what they believe, because they have been taught by false teachers. You seem to have a communication problem.
Then why did he contradict himself? He says “they don’t know”, yet somehow “he” does and “he” is telling others what to believe. He critics other for supposedly doing exactly what he is doing. That’s a contradiction…@@bobbyadkins6983
@@bobbyadkins6983 as said, this guy spent all his time teaching things that are nit in Bible and/or “preaching against” others. If he;d lived in Calvins day, he’d probably burned people as Calvin did, just for disagreeing…
@@mauricamcginnis4063 Hey, I lost my hair, and started shaving it when I was pretty young, so I can ALWAYS detect a hairpiece.. ESPECIALLY a bad one lolol
The Bible plainly teaches us that none of us knows the day or the hour of the Lord's return, but for us to watch and pray. Those who make any predictions are false prophets.
@@dirkfirkle73 i seriously doubt that was the whole reason, as there was no “actual” “prediction”. But if it was the only reason you friend was disfellowshipped, please provide the actual document / elders decision showing such. I’d really like to see it
Old video. No market study! That’s a lie. Listening to Jesus command? Yes. Matthew 28:19,20 Jesus; “Go and make disciples.” He set the example and his followers in the first century followed that example. House to house witnessing. Jehovah’s witnesses are not only in major cities in the world. They are in every nation and tribe tongue speaking to ALL people. More then 1000 languages today
@@markleehart Good day. Jesus set a pattern which I follow. Matthew 10, Mark 6, Luke 9 has Jesus giving instruction when they go to villages and cities to search out deserving ones to tell about the Kingdom of God and the King Jesus the Messiah (Christ). They were to go to cities and villages and they were to preach to the people. Some they visited at their houses. Those deserving accepted the good news. This not deserving rejected the message and they disciples were to leave, kicking the dust of their feet. This part of the preaching they did was going to the houses in the city and village. This pattern was also shown again later when he sent out 70 to do the same preaching work. Luke 10. The apostles continued this preaching not only in the temple but from house to house. Acts 5:42 As Jesus taught his disciples and as the first century congregation flowed in the instructions of Jesus, so do I who is commanded by Jesus to “Go therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19,20
@jwjim Good day brother... but didn't the disciples have orders not to go from house to house? Luke 10 seems to say this when they are sent ahead. Jesus didn't go house to house, but he did visit homes . they were to go to the cities and preach to people, which was done for the most part in the synagogues. Jesus, surely spoke in synagogues. if the message of good news was rejected, the disciples were to leave kicking the dust from their feet. wasn't his message preached in the synagogues of the cites when they gathered on the sabbath? the 9th chapter of Luke seems to say go to a home and stay. when they depart from that home that they are welcomed in, they were to go ahead to other cites.
@@markleehart Matthew 10 clearly shows they were not just talking to a few people they knew at some houses and in the synagogues or on the street. Jesus and his disciples were out to talk to “all the house of Israel”. They did it by any means necessary. On the streets, the city gates, the synagogues, the markets; wherever people were. And yes, they went from house to house declaring the good news. This was a search and rescue. Jesus said to “search out“ and that those who listened would be saved. Jesus told them to go and declare it in the light, to preach from the house tops. They didn’t just go to one house and stay there and never knock on another door. That is not how a search and rescue is done. Jesus wanted all Israel to hear and be given the chance to demonstrate faith in the one sent by God, his anointed, the Messiah whom they were all waiting on! He is here! Yes with great zeal they did this along with demonstrations of powerful work through Jehovah’s spirit. The first Christian’s did the same thing.
@@markleehartthe call “not to go from house to house” was not telling the disciples not to visit houses to preach the kingdom of God and His Messiah. It was warning them not to transfer from one house to another for better accommodations. When they were received with hospitality as was the custom in Israel, they were stay there until they had preached to the whole city of village. It would act as a home base. If someone more well off offered them a place to stay after they accepted other accommodations first, they were to politely decline and continue dwelling with those that offered first. Then when they were done preaching their they would move on to the next village/city. It is clear from scripture they were going to people’s houses with the message to find those deserving.
Use to study with the Jehovah Witnesses back in 1999 - 2000. Read Catholic, Protestant, Seven day Adventist, Latter-day Saint, Islam, etc... material. Anything I could get my hands on whether positive or negative on any faith. Also used to listen daily to Christian radio stations and learn anything I could regarding God. Long story short, I ended up praying constantly and asking God for answers in who to believe regarding religion. After months of pleading for answers and having faith in God that I would receive an answer in his due time, finally the Lord blessed me with answers by the Holy Spirit. Jesus wasn't kidding when he said "Seek and you shall find ". He "really " made me work for it! When you do your part, he'll do his, and answer your prayers! I felt the Spirit testify to me that Jesus Christ is Jehovah. Shortly after that, he testified to me Joseph Smith was a true prophet and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lords true church. I'm eternally grateful for the Lord and his blessings of answers to our prayers! I still research all religions and find much truth in many faiths, but I know with a surety that the authority and truth is with the Latter-day Saints
