JEITA GROTO IS THE MOST BEUTIFUL CAVE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE, THE WHOLE LEBANON IS JUST A FANTASTIC PLACE WONDERFUL WELCOMING PEOPLE CAN ONLY RECOMEND IT TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I VISITED 2 TIMES LEBANON AND COMMING BACK THIS SUMMER AGAIN. I JUST LOVE IT THERE.
Jeita grotto is one of the most amazing famous landmark in Lebanon, and it’s one of the 7 natural wonder which attracts many people from around the world to visit it . It located north of the capital of Beirut. In summer you can visit both the upper and lower galleries while enjoying the refreshingly cool temperatures inside the caves . The lower section is sometime closed in winter when the water level high ,but the extensive upper galleries are open all the time
Its is for many reasons 1. the caves are dark and the lighting is done in a very professional way, if 1 flash goes out it illuminates the whole room with a bright light and would blind u from seeing the cave properly. Now imagine thousands of flash lights strobing all the time 2. the passage ways in the upper grotto are narrow and some places overlooking more than 80m of height. if ppl were to take photos or videos imagine the risk of someone falling because he or she was too busy to look, as for the river the risk of cameras and phones falling into it or hitting walls in narrow passage ways may cause issues too 3. the average visit of the tourist has a defined time i think about 2 hours inside the caves, this time would double or triple if ppl were to stop at each stone to take pictures, and others are still coming in, resulting in a chaotic mass of ppl inside 4. not mentioning that some would want to take pictures of their loved ones standing on the stones or hugging them etc... (we already had those cases) 5. to summarize it for you, it is for the experience. When u enter the cave it's good to experience and appreciate the cave with ur own eyes and not through a screen, and with the minimal number of distraction possible.
lol i got those videos from ppl who were able to sneak their cams and uploaded them to youtube, i mentioned that. I worked there for 2 summers, and i was the one who would take your cam if i caught you recording :D irony
well they will throw you in jail... :) kidding... they'll take your cam or phone and put it in the lockers at the entrance and u ta ke it on your way out. some may ask you to delete the pics/vids
